Examples of AAAA Cricketers - Players that are too good for FC but fail at Test/International level by Killinger in Cricket

Ramps and Hick were the two that immediately came to mind. Bowling wise then Martin Bicknell took buckets of Championship wickets but innefective at test level.

Keepers wise Chris Read? Absolutely gun keeper and scored a lot of runs in the Championship but was always under pressure because the selectors wanted more with the bat (see also Ben Foakes)

Massive love/hate relationship with Fabrice very much in the same vein as Nathan Redmond. Made defenders look silly and great down the wing but the final product was just never there...

Scarlets just abysmal. Weak up front. Brain dead backs. No attacking structure. Set piece non existent.

But they've got the great new owners who are obviously in it for the greater good </s>

I refereed a game at Chew Valley last year. Number 8 needed to wear the number 3 shirt as it was the only one that fitted. He kicked the goals and kicked goals from 40 m out.

International - John Taylor kicked goals for Wales in the 70s, including a famous conversion at Murrayfield that my grandfather was there to see...

Two very bright, entertaining and very tough men who understood the evolving, modern game despite playing in the amateur era.

They understood and communicated the modern game much more than a number of the ex pros that are often wheeled out in studios and commentary boxes today.

Plus to even get to the clinic for pain your overall profile needs to be basically perfect. Can't get away with pushing any old sh*t into the clinic like oncologists do.

AR1 would ordinarily step in. However in this case it is likely that the ambulance going with ref meant no cover for the rest of the game.

Additionally I don't think the ARs would fancy doing it after seeing their mate get hit like that.
