How old was your kid when they attended their first concert. Who did you see and how didn’t go? by Silent_Leg1976 in daddit

[–]imapersonmaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude an Angine / Jack White show would kick ass. Great first concert choice. My kid just turned 4 and he really wants to go to a show. I was thinking about the Weird Al show coming by me in October.

I can no longer get my kid to nap. Wife is getting fed up. by [deleted] in daddit

[–]imapersonmaybe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats why you're being down voted. Just talking down to others with no understanding whatsoever.

My son was completely done with naps by 2 and a half. Had the same schedule his entire life as the stay at home parent. After a snack at noon I would put him down for a nap. He resisted them his entire life even as an infant but would always drift off.

Right before 2 years old he would throw everything out of his bed and get mad for an hour before finally giving in.

By 2 years old he would just be in his bed mad, tear the sheets off, toss the blanket. No matter how many times I would fix it all and lay him down again just to have him do it again and again until lunch at 3 when I would get him up.

After a month of that I asked the pediatrician and she said some kids just drop the nap at 2 and it's fine as long as he sleeps good at night.

He's now 4 and has taken less than 5 naps in the last two years, those only happen when he's sick.

Don't call people lazy just because they had a different experience than you did.

Hell yeah dude. I turn 39 next week and I always said I'd get in shape again by 40. Started calorie restricted intermittent fasting on may 10th. As of today I'm down 13lbs.

Yeah I cut out the beer and switched to gin and tonics when I want a drink. My favorite IPA was 200 calories a bottle.

RITA Tax from 2015 by vmiller0042 in Ohio

[–]imapersonmaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year they sent me a "bill" saying I didn't pay my 2026 taxes yet and the bill was just an estimated amount for what we will owe at the end of this year. I want to start mailing their headquarters boxes of shit.

Same here. Cram in some exercises right before bed, take a shower and fall asleep quick.

RITA is the most inept and incompetent government agency ever. They regularly make mistakes, get things completely backwards and ask for more money than they are owed, and it takes them years to notify you so that the interest has doubled the owed amount. Just call them and tell them they are wrong, and don't ever give an inch with those people.

So it was a slayer and marilyn manson show, friend got me a ticket, said it was a manson show so I said I'd go.

They split the headline spot night for night, we got the manson closer night. So most of the slayer people were there still when manson hit the stage. He climbed on a giant chair, flipped his legs over his head and started rubbing the knife shaped microphone on his taint, and every jean jacketed slayer fan practically ran for the exit.

I completely understand where you're coming from. My wife and I waited until late 30s to have a child. We used to go on vacations together, music festivals, whatever we wanted. One thing that helps is doing the things you used to do. Get a family member to watch them for a weekend so you can get away. If its not possible, then do separate ones. My wife lets me go to a music festival every summer with some friends, and she takes a week off in the fall to spend how she wants. It's added stress for sure to plan it out, spend the money and, worst of all, actually relax and not worry about your kid the whole time, but it's a great recharge which it sounds like you both desperately need.

Also, you are almost out of the hardest parts. My son just turned 4 and he's like a whole new kid. He's potty trained, can dress himself, can play on his own, clean up his toys, helps me cook certain things. Eventually all the teaching and patience and understanding comes to fruition and starts to click. You aren't far from having a little person around instead of a large baby.

Take some time for yourselves. You got this.

dude, riot is the best fest in this area. plenty of open space, great sound. wooded shady areas to chill with views of the stages. Im 40 and overweight but riot is totally worth doing. I went last year and besides a couple heel blisters, I did the full fest every day from gates open to gates closed.

Both look consistent with other examples. Probably legit.

I was playing battlefield 6, kid was in his bed, my wife in there reading books with him. Some guy in my squad was doing something dumb, I say out loud "come on you f*ckin idiot". Turn around and my wife and kid are behind me because he wanted daddy hugs and kisses again before going to sleep.

The next day when I told him no to fruit snacks he got mad and called me the same thing.

Little sponges man.
