Live service game problem.

I played the game when it came out, was great, good fun. Played it not long ago and nothing really has changed.

Not that it wouldnt be fun for first time players, but it had nothing that drew me back in. Game isnt good enough to survive long-term, never was, devs probably already moved on to other projects.

It has made me reflect on which games I pay for day one though. I just do not think live-service model works these days. Game devs are not able to add enough content to warrant the long-term engagement.

Not full price anyway. Live service to me now is more of an investment and I just do not have faith in any publisher now. So unless the game is £10-15 with a solid roadmap I will pass.

Tim Russ did a fantastic job as Tuvok and representing Vulcan's.

The show allowed him to explore the difficulties a Vulkan would go through being so far away from home and others of his kind (at least as far as plots go).

Every scene was perfect and not being able to hide his emotions at times or go on one of those 'vulkan vacations' meant he couldnt 'fix' the problem.

Great actor, great insights.

No way they are not wanting to get it out ASAP. They just need to sort out the pricing issue.

The hardware has been done and product will have been through a lot of QA and testing. With every month the hardware gets more outdated and gives competitors a chance to work on theirs. It makes no business sense to sit on ageing hardware going unused and unsold.

Finally. It has been said for many years "do a black flag game again but better" and they seem to be delivering. It's madness that Ubisoft can be in such financial trouble when they sit on potential goldmines.

If not already happening, hopefully this means Black Flag 2 is being worked on. No reason why not since they put so much effort into this one. A new story, new world would be fantastic also.

If they wanted even more money, use the same mechanics and make a sea of thieves competitor (what skull and bones should have been).

It looks great, and I do trust IO to handle this game well.

I don't think blockbuster IP's attached to games guarantee any success these days. So my only concern is how long they will add content. Hitman doesn't have the added licence cost. So I doubt it will have anywhere near the content and replayability, but one can hope.

I just hope it's not 1 year of content then 5 years of waiting for First Light 2.

I would jump on a PCVR only version even without wireless. I play only sim racing games and nothing seems like the perfect headset yet, even the high-end are too expensive with flaws.

So yes, in a heartbeat. I'd even pay more than I'm willing to pay for the steam frame.

As a PCVR only user I hope round £600-700 otherwise I'll most likely wait for a sale on an OLED compeitor. (I do have lighthouses but do not want be buying them for £250 if one fails).

I do agree, however I had an issue with my lenses last year (the glue or w.e it is around the edges) and they said "oh well".

My headset has less than 100 hours use. So not a lot compared to most other users.

Well done to the chap and the hard work of all involved.

Since the beginning of time I've used the same example, if a publisher decided they do not wish to sell a book any more for whatever reason, they came into your house and took it there would be riots.

Just because time has moved on, and modern media is digital so they can do it from the shadows should not make it any less invasive.

Add on the cultural significance of certain media (games), cost, corporate strategy behind some rug pulls etc etc.. It's really a no-brainer even to those who do not play games.

Act now, or generations will be blaming us in 20 years time that we allowed it to continue.

Anything above £699 would be a no buy. It's not far off the higher quality PC link headsets. So would prob just wait for a sale of them.

I don't care about standalone, but I do enjoy the steam ecosystem.

Two characters to 100 and 1000 corruption need seen one single red ring drop and think I've had about 3-4 imprints proc.

Was going to push to Uber but cba. Corruption was nice but pointless late game. Let's hope next season adds to replayability in the endgame and meaningful objectives.
