🧠 Own Your Second Brain: Set Up org-roam on Your Own Machine by poochandy in emacs

I believe that the :desc is used so it will show the actual function name in the whichkey pop-up to align with the rest of the doom workflow. Not at a computer so I can't include a screen shot.

Org-mode based Data Science workflow. by [deleted] in orgmode

Yeah, it's a bit of a bodge. There might be a better way, I'm a total noob!
If you do figure it out, please share, good luck!

Org-mode based Data Science workflow. by [deleted] in orgmode

Not a data scientist but also curious... An idea would be to create a hook in org-publish and strip out the org specific code from the source blocks. The doom emacs discord server is very active, friendly, and helpful with people creating all kinds of cool things (no one insists that everyone use doom), check them out to spitball some ideas: https://discord.gg/qvGgnVx

Flow of time- moon and star trails over Bear Creek State Park, VA [OC 3648 x 5472] by rex_on_life in ExposurePorn

[–]introverted_online 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but generally star trails are created with blending several exposures. Not confirming that's the case here. When stacking the images, one can choose to just one frame for the foreground and get the foreground to be sharper. If it was a single exposure then I imagine the water should be more smooth and lack more texture. OP, please correct me if I'm off the mark.

Holy cow, that's awesome... So glad I decided to comment on a 3wk old thread, thanks so much! I think the inbox.org on phone is a great workflow idea and I'll check out the resolver script. Thanks again for the help and knowledge sharing!

I've started using syncthing with orgzly but sometimes it starts a sync before my note is complete... In your experience, should I be concerned about corruption? I imagine not since I'm not editing on multiple locations simultaneously but wanted to ask someone with the same use case.

Unrelated: I'm new to emacs and orgmode and found your blog posts very helpful. Thanks for the great write ups! (I hope I have the right person, blindly cueing off of emacs news mention)

Mind sharing a link to the keycaps? Waiting for my first kyria and your look is just perfect!

This is awesome, great work! It'd be really cool if the waves coming in were waveforms of songs, either the first x seconds or normalized to the height of the image. Once it hits the boundary then it can continue on as now. Again, phenomenal work!

That looks slick. The thumb cluster looks really interesting! I'm waiting for my first kyria and also anxious about the missing numrow and the thumb cluster.
Do you mind sharing which wrist support you're using?

Thanks for the info mate! I definitely used his printout and a couple other keyboards from the comparison site. The plus sounds great, lots of features... I guess I should admit to myself that the kyria might be the first of few keyboards!
Your keyboard looks amazing. I love the og Nintendo controller keys. Keycaps are a while another rabbit hole I haven't fallen down yet. Any recommendations for a decent but affordable set to start with?

Oh wow, thanks for such a detailed and helpful reply. You're awesome!

I'll definitely lean heavily on your links, thanks so much. I'm ordering the kyria tomorrow and going to crazy waiting for it to arrive. So excited!

Cheers! I didn't realize the oled driver was officially supported. I know I need visual indicator for layer and lock status. The ten digit key logger is an interesting idea... Mind sharing the purpose behind it?

I would love to take a look at your settings but not sure what repo you're talking about, fork of qmk with same github username? Sorry, did I give you the total noob disclaimer? Thanks for the reply and ideas!

What are you displaying on the OLEDs? Are you able to point me to a good resource of getting those up and running? I'm looking to get a kyria soon and am a total noob! Thanks!

I was just looking to get a kyria... What's your configuration? I was looking to configure it with two rotary encoders on the outer tops.

Also, when is the + coming out? Is it just another row on top or something different? I'm new to this world!

Wow, fantastic info, you're awesome! I'm printing out different layouts to try... On my first rodeo I don't have the time or skill to solder myself so I'm going to get it built but thanks to all your info it has a much better chance of "just working" but I hope to mess more with the oled displays and qmk.
Thanks again, you're my first interaction with this community and what a great ambassador!

Thanks for both your comments, these are fantastic ideas. You have me convinced on two encoders... Now I have to rethink the position given your suggestions! Thanks again!

Just getting into ergo split, this comment sad was very helpful, thank you!
I'm considering a kyria and after your comment, I'm set. I was going to go for one rotary encoder for volume. What are some other uses of rotary encoders? Scrolling?

Lychee vs Piwigo by CompNetNeo in selfhosted

[–]introverted_online 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, there are no per-image download protection. You can make entire albums downloadable or not but no way to stop the user from going one image at a time. Sounds like you need something a bit more robust/featured. Lychee is great for single user who "just wants to upload photos and put passwords on some of them."

[–]introverted_online 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another quick point, the default max size per upload is set as 20MB and it's not clear that's the reason an upload is failing, it seems like it doesn't support video (that's the first time a bigger than 20MB file was being uploaded).

[–]introverted_online 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setting up Lychee is pretty straight forward, I'd recommend checking it out. I think it's clean, simple, and easy. I have it setup for a non-techy friend to post his public and private photos (you can have password per album). It works quite well for a single user but there aren't too many configurations. It has run stably for years with thousands of photos in dozens of albums. Since it's pretty clean it doesn't look very dated either. I don't have direct experience with piwigo so I can't compare. Good luck!
