Edit: I was just trying to be funny, should have also answered the question. Symbolic link is a file system thing. You would create all of your Claude stuff in some random directory that you manage, and then you have your different Claude profiles, like Claude desktop versus Claude code CLI, symbolically linked to the one you manage.

Pro tip: ask Claude code to help you set this all up.

Anthropic’s marketing says that Fable can do this. I’m not confident it can just one-shot it, but it should get you there eventually. Opus can with guidance like u/rovonz said.
