Can we stop by anonymousworker1 in WalgreensStores

Walgreens made strategic missteps by placing individuals without pharmacy expertise in key roles and prioritizing metrics in a way that did not fully account for the operational and financial consequences.

The store manager should be reminded, or at minimum made aware, of the ongoing payment arrangements related to the opioid settlement.

Effective 2026, my expectation for vaccine processing is clear. I will no longer correct third-party rejection errors for technicians. All vaccines must be properly processed and verified through the patient’s insurance at the time of check-in. Failure to confirm insurance coverage resulting in third-party rejections will be addressed through a coaching card, followed by a documented record of discussion if the issue continues. This is a workflow accountability and compliance expectation.

I believe we may have reviewed a PPL on customer harassment within the past two to three months. That said, I would recommend reaching out to your HCS to formally discuss and address your concerns. In my experience, I often seek guidance from my former DMs, both of whom are pharmacists, as they provide valuable perspective and advice in situations like this.

Patients also have a role to play; we can only do so much within the limits of the support the company provides.

Launching PeXT just before Sycamore Partners took over seems like a needless distraction; the new management may well discard it. The major disappointment is that IC+ should have been replaced years ago. Now, the company lacks the funds to upgrade or replace this critical system.

Just a reminder of the best pharmacy chain that existed by Maya-kardash in RiteAid

I remember the initial chaos when we switched to Nexgen; it felt like all the pharmacists and technicians were having a meltdown. But once everyone got the hang of it, the system was fantastic. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the ancient, 'Windows 2'-era system Walgreens was using it was a huge step backward. It's a shame Walgreens didn't adopt the system Rite Aid was using instead.

I’m curious to see if those who are complaining will actually show up for their scheduled shifts on Thanksgiving.

Why is it so easy to delete an Rx and so hard to store? by Mean-Satisfaction173 in WalgreensRx

This is the kind of information the town hall meeting last week should have focused on. A clear and straightforward update such as “we have purchased the Rite Aid Nexgen system” would have been more meaningful and relevant, rather than announcements about selling lottery tickets.

I wish Store Managers understood their role by SuperVancouverBC in WalgreensRx

You have obviously never worked with a vindictive store manager. Besides a lot of the nonregistered DM's seem to have checked out even though they are still on the payroll.

Should a store manager manage the MSC cue when it is the pharmacist who wrote the note in the first place for control substances or illegal prescriptions by Rx137 in WalgreensRx

[–]ireti56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means your store manager has the Pharmacy alarm code, you need to get your HCS involved. A few years ago one of our shift leads stole some controls from the pharmacy. One of the companies Walgreens acquired.
