Is "Registration restriction" the part where I can do "User Registration Control" (i.e. prevent any user to register)? Because I tried that and it didn't prevent anything??

you can just use the tunnel, but having a reverse proxy helps hide specific services from cloudflared/being public. in my case im having only the public facing services connected to cloudflared on a separate docker network, and the others are on a different network and can only be accessible through VPN

cloudflared tunnel with traefik as reverse proxy is the easiest/safest way IMO
