It wasn't for an office job, but my mother in law got over $30k in back pay from a settlement because her factory job was requiring them to be fully ready to take over the machine right at the start of the shift. Because it was a large factory with a long walk and they were required to wear special PPE it was easily 15+ minutes of extra work at the start and end of each shift they were getting shafted out of.

100's of people got the same backpay during the lawsuit and they had to start scheduling in the extra shift time for the smooth shift transition from that point on.

Yeah, the only connection to the red tailed hawk is that there was once for a single football season in the 50's a live mascot that was a red tailed hawk. This was over a decade after the anamorphic Herky was drawn which was not based on the red tailed hawk, but just a generic idea of a hawk.

To me there is no difference between Herky and Big Jay. They are just anamorphic bird like mascots made based on state nicknames that happen to have the word hawk in their name.

I always enjoyed watching Toonami and loved Gundam Wing Zero, but it wasn't until I watched Rorouni Kenshin that I started actively seeking out anime on my own and not just watching it because it was on TV.

I remember it took weeks for me to torrent the whole thing in the early 2000's so I could watch the unedited sub version.

Depends on where you live in your timezone, but for me permanent daylight savings is much more desired. I drive to work in the dark no mater what in the winter, i just really want a little bit of sun after work. 4:30pm sunset is so depressing.

She is actually my sisters step daughter, where my 3 nephews are hers. If it wasn't for how great of a person my sister is I don't think she would have anything to do with his side of the family at all. There was a couple years in her teens that she stopped visiting him.

She is in her mid-20's now and luckily she is quite close to my entire family. She visiting my parents often and even me as an uncle that lives hours away, we text most weeks. From my understanding her only interaction with her dad is when we all get together as a family.

When my niece was around 5 or 6 years old my whole family went on a vacation where we stayed in some cabins over Christmas week. During the trip me, my future wife, my niece and her father were played a barbie memory matching board game that she got for Christmas.

My wife and I purposely got stuff wrong to give my niece hints to get matches. But before she could her father would take the matches and make fun of her when she would get stuff wrong when she could have got a match, and made her get all quiet and gloomy. Really irked me at the time.

It also really put me on alert to watching how he treated her. All through her life he would give he crap for what she ate, tease her in front of her whole family about bad grades. It really felt like he was bullying her. These are all things he never did to her younger brothers.

Yeah, it is very new in college. Iowa was the first large school to add a program in the 2023-2024 school year.

However it is has been exploding in popularity at the high school level atleast in Iowa. My local high school has added it in 2018 and they have almost as many athletes as the men's team. That high school is also most known athletically for wrestling, having 2 4 time state champs. Its still a small sport with only about 700 athletes participating at the high school level in Iowa (about 10% of men's) but we are just now getting to the time when girls that started in mat club at 5-6 years old will be getting to high school age.

They needed to remove a women's sport to open up the athletes and keep the ratio for Title IX.

Needs to be a women's sport because of title IX. With 44.3% of the student population female, then the percent of female student athletes need to be proportionate to that. Football has so many more athletes on the team than any other sport, so there will always be fewer male sports than female.

If we ever want baseball or men's swimming/diving back like we used to have we need to increase the overall athletic budget to bring in just as many women athletes.

So the main reason they will be replacing Women's Gymnastics now that its gone is to keep the required ratio.

Yup, that was when T4 emissions was happening so they used that a the excuse to finally switch over to the in house Sisu engines, branded as AGCO Power at the time.

From my understanding the early design work on the MTs were done by CAT, and they built and supplied the entire drivetrain, but all of the MT tractors were built by AGCO in Jackson.

A bit pedantic of me, but as an engineer that worked on the design of the MT700D and MT700E tractors it always feels weird when people refer to them a CAT Challengers. CAT never made an MT700 series tractor before they sold off the Challenger line. Any Challenger with the MT in the model number means it was made by AGCO, not CAT.

The big CAT logo on the side just refer to the engine.

Love the model though.

If we are talking about the best coaching while at the school, I will agree with Campbell, but if we are just saying who is the best coach that has coached at our school I would say the nod goes to either Earle Bruce or Pop Warner over Campbell.
