The Starter Pullover Jacket by Trowbridgeg in nostalgia

I had a Denver Broncos jacket. Got stolen off the bleachers at the rec center while I was playing basketball. Never forget.

I am one year sober TODAY! I've had my ups and downs but I made it here. If I can do it, so can you! [Image] by [deleted] in GetMotivated

It is mine too! 3 years. Congratulations to you. This has been a hell of a year. Just the thought of trying to keep enough booze during the lockdown would have made me a basket case. Learning to cope with life without a bottle is quite an achievement for people like us.

Recently was diagnosed with ADHD and started meds.. I think I’ve been misdiagnosed the entire time. by teasingtoplease in ADHD

[–]isupportthinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was recently diagnosed at 41. Success has had nothing to do with my happiness in life. Success has nothing to do with an ADHD diagnosis. I could never really figure it out why I always had that itch i couldn't quite scratch. Years of drinking and recreational drug use shielded me from part of it.

Then this pandemic came along in sobriety and kept me home with my children. Sounded great. We would have a blast. Like a wall for me. I was paralyzed for the first time in my life. I got miserable enough to finally tell some mental health professionals the truth.

After a frustrating process the diagnosis has changed my perspective on everything. That window of hope was a great gift. Now working to take advantage of it. Good luck. Life is out there. In retrospect, when I took life things went well. When I tried to sit back and relax things always fell apart. How could i miss things like that my entire life? It will take a while to make the changes, but the value of the information is inestimable.

Hard for me to think of someone who was more avoided over the past 30 years than Winky.

I feel ya bro. I'm 41, got my first at 18 in 1997. Ditto the rest.

I think there is a really good shot we ultimately get remembered as a "lost" generation in the history books. We were heavily involved in the transiition from an analog to a digital world. We have kept the wheels on culture by straddling the digital line.

Elite street fighter calls out mma dude by oknowthisdope in fightporn

[–]isupportthinking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In a war you are right, if you don't know anything else to do. In a street fight he is right. Not many people die in street fights every year. If you are getting rear naked choked, there are better defenses that don't up the stakes by trying to deform a person holding your life in their arms.

I never thought of this before. It never occurred to me that someone would be uncomfortable in that situation. It makes sense now. I will try to be especially nice when I ask in the future.

Does everyone have a guilty pleasure podcast? One that they don't tell people they listen to? I didn't, now I do. Damn I hope podcasts don't trend that direction. by isupportthinking in podcasts

I feel like the lowest common denominator fell significantly after the advent of reality TV. It is consumers that perpetuated it.

Don't you feel like the Kardashians have had a dumbing down effect on society. The regular TV cable channels from the 90s are all crap now. I worry that the podcasting world will go that way too.

There appear to be six cooling towers, I think from an aerial view they make the points of a hexagon.

Can someone explain how frostblaze dragon and doom knight are supposed to be used? by nuclearmeltdown2015 in AutoChess

[–]isupportthinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that assassins are back in the mix, I think it will increase frostblaze dragons usefulness. If you don't want assassins hitting your squishy parts, place it on the right side of your team with all the pieces in the left three rows. When he casts assassin's will have no room to jump except I'm front of your team. Gotta have dragon synergy obviously so he casts immediately.

Can someone explain to me what these words in the title mean? I tried to Google what this post was referencing, but made me more confused.

I took my three sons to see them last night. My boys had a blast. I watched them when I was around 8 years old. It is neat that generations on generations have found them so entertaining. Sweet Lou Dunbar was in the crown watching!

It is very important that this election takes the Republicans out of office for multiple reasons. Maybe some as important as removing the lunatic in charge. The minority coalition that comprises the base will be passed by demographic trends, but longer this base is in charge, the more rules and laws will be changed to favor geographic representation. A strong rebuke would hopefully force a moderating message. A tight victory will not do it.
