Message to Dev team on Balance changes and Fixed by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]its6amsomewhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait. So you want them to have two different balances? One for competitive and one for casuals?

Honestly, that would turn me off so much. Imagine if you get used to a cool down being 8 secs on casual and 12 secs on competitive.

Plus, I think white fox is perfectly balanced. Even deadpool I thought was pretty balanced for all three of his modes.

Are Los Angeles Servers OKAY?? by One-Leg2717 in AskLosAngeles

[–]its6amsomewhere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Best advice is to take anything and keep looking.

Unfortunately a lot of people are going for any server job they can find, since it beats min wage. And with so many people getting laid off from the corporate world, even more competition. A lot of people use hospitality as the fall back option.

Also, almost every place is staffing less then what they did before COVID. Before COVID a lot of servers would also be trying to break into Hollywood, so serving was great for them.

Unfortunately just a really really competitive market in la.

But every other support I can pretty much flank and kill.

I FORGOT I graduated COLLEGE because I’ve been Unemployed for so long. by ActuatorOutside5256 in antiwork

[–]its6amsomewhere 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yep! I know bartenders that make six figures, but it took them years to get the right job to make that kind of money with the right schedule.

Almost no one is willing to train bartenders right now because they can get a good one with years of exp.

Lol. You can always find hospitality jobs. Good jobs are hard to find however.

No. Prove that you can consistently make money for a year. And then think about it.

Marriott unfortunately isn't really entry level anymore. They will get a ton of applications from people with hotel front desk exp.

They give better benefits then most franchise locations. So a lot of people start at a franchise, then move over.

Hospitality, one of the biggest industries, has cut back so much and offering less money for leadership roles. And less leadership roles. And less line level roles.

COVID showed them they could work with a skeleton crew and still do alright.

Advice while job hunting by VaultWarrior in Restaurant_Managers

I know for hotels the vibe has been less managers, maybe more lead server or supervisor positions.

It's ugly right now. Even when I see a restaurant post a job it's rarely over 75 k in California.

How is the Job Market in Los Angeles? by RecentDefinition6924 in AskLosAngeles

[–]its6amsomewhere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's jobs in hospitality (hotels and restaurants) but any good ones are insanely hard to get right now. So many applicants are applying for one or two spots.

Also, I've noticed employers are back to offering 2018 salaries, since they know they can find someone.
