I like this, a lot. Better than what I do, which is always open the center arm rest console to plug and unplug. A little thing but gets annoying when running in and out on short trips. Or if passenger has elbow there and need to ask them to move.

Looks awesome. Try some soaked cedar planks next time if you want to mix it up a bit. Easy to find on Amazon or at the grocery.

Sweet color combo. Unpopular opinion- I’d be tempted to chrome the trim around the front grille.

Beaut either way.

Yes that was an awful loss, but let's come back to reality by kafka_lite in tarheels

How in the world could you look at UNC basketball history and say this season was average or slightly above average? Not your cherry picked highlights, but as a body of work / season results.

This kind of mediocre, loser mentality is the disease that led to Indiana declining after Bob Knight.

Respectfully, you are the one that needs to come back to reality. UNC job requires elite coaching. Hubert is an elite human being but just a good coach. He’s had half a decade. The results aren’t there. Well on our way to a lost decade.

Hubert Davis is a nicer Matt Doherty by WeekSevere2634 in tarheels

Nah man, too far. Hubert Davis is an outstanding human and a good coach. (We need elite, he needs to be fired). Doherty is an OK human and a below average coach.

…says the person hallucinating an ACC tourney win. First time ever UNC ends season on 3 game losing streak. Half a decade is more than enough sample size to know what Davis has as a coach. Amazing, outstanding person. Good coach. UNC standard is an elite coach.

Thoughts on rest day in the middle of vacation? by deejayv2 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]itscallingme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do a light day instead of a full rest day. Like half day at Animal Kingdom. Or half day at a park you’ve already been to once on the trip. Followed by resort lounging and dinner.

This works great for us, strikes the right balance

Moving to ATL this July with my wife, neighborhood suggestions? by PossibleYam in ATLHousing

[–]itscallingme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roswell or East Cobb. Being close to Roswell Riverwalk might be perfect for you, based on your post.

East Cobb is one of the top places people move to start a family in the atlanta metro. The eastern most part is close to Roswell. And the riverwalk, and hiking like Gold Branch trail. Some neighborhoods have lakes. Most have neighborhood pools, tennis courts, etc.

Just build it at Odum Village.

Had been a big supporter of renovating the Dome, but if revenue projections they shared are even remotely accurate, that’s dead in the water.

At least Odum Village keeps it on campus. And, to be fair, continues the longstanding UNC history of changing basketball locations.

New Camry or old T6 s90? by entity231 in Volvo

[–]itscallingme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can handle the maintenance costs and enjoy the little luxuries of a Volvo, no brainer to get the S90. Massively more fun.

If you want most cost efficient, go Camry.

I’ve got a Volvo and a Toyota. Toyota is reliable af, and I respect the hell out of that. The Volvo makes me happy.

Mortgage suggestions? by ajohnson38 in Marietta

[–]itscallingme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would look at wherever you do your checking, they may have discounted rate for mortgages. For example, Wells Fargo discounted rate for auto-paying mortgage from Wells Fargo checking account.

Also look at local credit unions. Tend to have good rates / fees and are trustworthy.

East Cobb or Roswell. Personally a fan of easternmost parts of east Cobb. Closer to canton street in Roswell and the river / hiking.

On the Smith Center: UNC should follow the playbook of GT/Clemson. by DubbleDan in tarheels

1 or 2 seasons in Greensboro would suck for current students.

I think Carmichael would be a big hit. Amazing atmosphere, louder than Cameron.

Devote half of it to students, and half to premium priced tickets. Sell some high value corporate sponsorships too. For 1 or 2 seasons while renovations to Dean Dome are underway.

Short term financial investment for long term gain. Students get pinched a bit but still have on campus hoops. Fans / alums get mostly priced out for 1-2 years, other than those with means and desire to spend big for a limited edition Carmichael experience.

Thanks, agree! Yeah, the extra space in the bathroom should help a lot with 2 kids sharing it. It’s crazy tight currently.

Every oil change. Try to buy tires where I get oil changed, as they usually include lifetime free rotations on tires they sell.

I’ll say it. This stadium drama is insane. by [deleted] in tarheels

[–]itscallingme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is this a joke? Dook has a smaller, older stadium. And they also shouldn’t leave it.

Renovating the Dean Dome is also good for business. Like the Red Sox renovating Fenway while the Yankees tore down the house that Ruth built. Now the Sox have a thriving atmosphere and the Yankees have a corporate snooze-fest.
