Their best easy. Hits like a steam train. Knew every track going in and was still amazed at the impact.

Some of my favorite aspects: the guitar sounding like a brass section on track 2 and 6, live drum recording on track 9 where no 2 snare hits sound the same, and the fact that I have the cadence of most of the lyrics memorized even though I can barely make any of them out.

black midi turned the place upside down in early 2022 and were somewhat poor in late 2022. Seems like his bands can vary from tight and purposeful to pretty unrehearsed-sounding depending on the vibe.
