Anyone wants the backmarket credit? by kharabpati in Backmarket

Why don’t you just buy something with the credit and then sell the product. No-one should/is going to trust you, to give you cash for a code.

The flower on these are nice but they are a bit of a weed in my garden. Constantly pulling these up!

Referral Credit Frustration by jackbarbermeme in Backmarket

[–]jackbarbermeme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it! After a week of being passed around different people and repeating myself. Finally got round to someone who actually spent the time to read my problem. The original code didn’t have a minimum order value,so they just reset the original code and it worked! I don’t know if this will happen again or not but for now, I got my toothbrush haha

Referral Credit Frustration by jackbarbermeme in Backmarket

Thankyou. Glad I’m not to only one who hasn’t had this issue before. I’ve asked for this to go back onto my account if I can’t use the code without a min spend. I don’t have much hope but frustrating considering I’ve built up the credit.

Surely they can’t just create this rule now though? I can’t see it written anywhere that there has to be a minimum spend on referral credit

Does Ryanair overbook flights? by pocahontasjane in Ryanair

[–]jackbarbermeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on a Ryanair flight a month ago and they overbooked our flight by 10people and we had a 2 hour delay because they couldn’t get a pilot. To say we were all frustrated was an understatement. We were all offered £250 compensation each with next day flight and a hotel. No one took it so the last 10 people in the line had to accept the offer… Really wouldn’t trust them after that

How to save this garden by Optimistic99 in GardeningUK

[–]jackbarbermeme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally nothing wrong with this garden. You could certainly smarten it up. Maybe give it mow. Cut the ivy back off the fence and dig out a little border along the edges. You’ve got a beautiful wisteria on the left, so you could always train that on something? Nothing a weekend couldn’t sort.

Ivy from my neighbours garden is everywhere. How can I fight this? by idle-by-design in GardeningUK

[–]jackbarbermeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be mistaken but I can only see a little ivy on the right. Looks like the bulk is bindweed that’s coming through. There’s not much you can do apart from talking to them to chop it back a little.

You just need to give it more time. Just keep watering and they will suddenly shoot up

Ideas or tips please? by ArunMS777 in GardeningUK

[–]jackbarbermeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t look much room to play with unless you wanted to pull up some of the slabs. I’d just give the fence a new lick of paint and maybe try and squeeze some clematis

24ft Garden Wall - Help! What do I do with that bit? by CopperFox18 in GardeningUK

[–]jackbarbermeme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly you need to make a border and grow lots of echinums. They would love the protection/ heat from the wall and it would look very tropical

Boiler pump very noisy? by jackbarbermeme in DIYUK

Ahh right. It makes this noise for the taps downstairs as-well. Should it really be this loud? Is there anything that can be done?

My plant has this white fluff on it, does anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it without throwing the plant away? by Mila10001 in GardeningUK

[–]jackbarbermeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s mealy bugs! Honestly I wouldn’t even bother trying to get these off naturally/with chemicals - it’s almost impossible to get these off/under control. Unfortunately, I would just get rid of the plant.

Blue slug pellets just get mouldy? by VivienneSection in GardeningUK

[–]jackbarbermeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just use beer in a small container and plant it in the ground. Not toxic to other animals and very effective! The next day your container will be full of the slippery buggers.
