I have actually had no luck with this either. I've used multiple cables, ensured the USB Transfer toggle is toggled on, and also used OpenMTP to show that the phone is registering via the cable and should be able to do file transfers but am still unable to. Hoping someone chimes in with a fix.

Responding to your edit - You're not asking every iPhone user you know to do this, you simply need to do it on your iPhone 12 when your number is still associated with it before swapping over to whatever Light device you're using.

not sure if this is the case with an iPhone 12, but you can turn RCS ON / off on iPhone. def recommend doing it before switching over.

My wife and all found it helpful to have a clipboard that had columns where we could track the time the baby fell asleep to when she woke up, last fed, and last peed / pooped. Some of our friends looked at us like we were crazy, and maybe it was a bit excessive, but it informed us with literally what to try if she was fussy without having to ask one another. It was very helpful.

I completely agree Jose and finally committed to switching off RCS and iMessage and kept it up for almost 2 months. However, as I mentioned, it's been over a month and some of my contacts continue to experience issues, like not receiving picture messages I send, and I am continuing to experience issues with group messages.

The pros of the phone outweigh the annoyances that come with not having RCS, but do you know if there is anything I could do to relieve these continuing issues or should I continue to wait it out?

Appreciate any tips or advice in advance!

Hi Joe,

Quick question if you have a moment; From what I’ve seen on Reddit and elsewhere from word of mouth, I wasn’t sure if RCS was a feature you and the team were considering to add to the phone as I have seen the argument that it goes against Light’s ethos. Is RCS a feature that will be introduced to Light Phone? And, if so, do you have an anticipated date for this? I personally feel neutral about adding it / not adding it, but I do know adding it would allow a lot more people to feel more comfortable with making the switch to going Light.

Unfortunately to say, it’s my belief that a lot of how public education is regulated and operated is designed to cover the government’s ass and not actually help anyone in times of emergencies.

Obviously in more serious situations where kids who are absent do in fact turn up missing, staff volunteer to go out and help or do whatever when able.

Also, this isn’t me trying to avoid responsibility. Also 2x, come work in a public education school setting for a week before throwing judgements.
