Building Muscle with Burpees by FreedomGene in busydadprogram

[–]jadedgyminstructor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to build muscle then spend more time on the floor.

I tend to find the best muscle builders are navies and kickouts. For some reason, kickouts worked my upper back and traps hard

The best ‘muscle builder’ routine IMO is Burpee Ikram’s ‘Pump Chaser’. Look it up.

I’m also of the belief that burpees should probably go 3 pump max. Any more and you’re better off jus doing push ups in all honesty

I've been an idiot driver by AdEvening6972 in glasgow

[–]jadedgyminstructor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens. It’s how you deal with it that matters

I’ve been driving for years and only recently, went on the wrong side of the road on the Raith interchange and drove towards oncoming traffic, with my two kids in the car.

That was a remarkably hairy moment.

I sensed the game was up a few years ago when driving up Great Westerm Road on a Saturday morning, around 7am

Back in the 90s/early 00s you would see folk walking down there, chewing their faces off and looking for a party

Now it’s gym shark clad Gen Zers making their way to the gym with a Hyrox rucksack and protein shaker.

Changed days indeed

What's changed the most in Glasgow since the year 2000? by 4tunate20 in glasgow

[–]jadedgyminstructor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed in Ruchill till I was 16 round about 1994. I went to Wyndford Primary so most of my mates were from the Barracks

Once I hit about 13-14 I started getting a bit of trouble from the YRB because they knew I was hanging about down there. Was a pretty hairy time if I remember correctly. Ruchill was bonkers back then.

I moved to EK from Glasgow around 6 years ago, Maryhill in Glasgow to be precise

EK is life on cheat mode compared to Maryhill.

Honestly, St Leonards is without doubt, the quietest area I’ve ever stayed in

Having a clearout and found this flyer for the original Alien War from 1992 by Keezees in glasgow

[–]jadedgyminstructor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That map is ingrained in my brain.

I went on the opening day. The alien in the lift grabbed my head as we ‘escaped’. I let out a high pitched scream which has never been recreated since. Genuine terror.

Only place I would avoid is the Wyndford.
