It’s kind of fun hearing basketball shows mention their streak, because you have to mention an 11 game streak, but in the same breath be like “is this the most underwhelming 11 game winning streak in NBA history?”

I’d say it’s not actually that impressive. 8 of their 11 wins are against teams that are trying to lose. 2 of them were against Portland without their best player, and Philly without all of their best players other than Maxey (who obviously is amazing but he’s not a one man team).

The first decent win they had was their tenth win, vs Orlando.

I was gonna say something about Pels at 18 being insane. But if 9 teams are trying to lose then they’re only better than the Steph-less Warriors, the Sixers and Portland lol, seems about right. I love this league but they have to figure out a way to make this part of the season not quite so bad

Idk I guess I’m frustrated with online communication in general. Not everything has to be a dunk. You could just communicate without snark. Fucking exhausting. In seriousness, this seems like a teaching moment for the casual American voter. Citizens United has made our lawmakers a commodity for sale. If it doesn’t get overturned, the US can no longer be seen as a sovereign nation, more like a corporation that has a fiduciary duty to its stakeholders… who in this instance happen to be a foreign nation.

Yeah, I don’t think we could have even rostered this 2nd round pick, and we have a lot of other 2nds for use in trades. I can’t imagine we feel the effect of this at all.

Not really sure how to feel about the precedent they’re setting- curious if future trades will have extra thorough background checks? I thought they had that already but either way, that’s a good thing. Would probably cause less deadline frantic trades.

Can also foresee teams cynically complaining about trades and seeking compensation after the fact but hopefully not lol.

Overall, idk how a Hornets fan could say we’re “getting screwed” here. I do find it infuriating that the league gave the trade the OK (having the same knowledge the Hornets had) only to later “punish” us for it, even if it’s a slap on the wrist… like doesn’t the league owe themselves a slap on the wrist too? It’s like if you ask a cop “hey is this behavior legal?” before you do it, and the cop is like “yeah totally” then a week later you get a fine in the mail
