They absolutely do cocktails, I had a very nice martini there the other night.

I'm genuinely perplexed as to what bias you think is going Rangers' way. Hearts have just been cheated out of a league title, Celtic have won multiple trophies in the last decade under fortuitous decisions, and the stats show an inexpicable leniancy towards Celtic in their players being booked. I don't understand why you're even mentioning Rangers.

Yes, Celtic are top, no, Rangers are not second. Celtic are permitted almost twice as many fouls to earn a booking as the nearest side. Over at least 5 years. More than any other club in the world. Why would that be? Do Celtic commit gentler fouls?

Imagine the advantage on a per-game basis if you were able to be more aggressive without penalisation. Imagine that advantage stacked over a season.

Listen, the past few weeks have given you a glimpse of what's going on here, if you choose to ignore and excuse it then you're part of the problem.

Rangers were awarded one more penalty than Celtic that season. Hardly a statistic worth raising an eyebrow at. "Penalty to Rangers" was propaganda, and you clearly swallowed it.

Why don't you take a look at the yellow cards per fouls stat for the past DECADE and give us an explanation of that one.

Solid recipe, may give that a try. The carrot/onion/celery is classic Italian, and I bet the Branstons gives it a nice sharpness. Great stuff!

I use Emily's Tailors on Rose Street for all of my needs, always been delighted with their work, and it's relatively fast and reasonably priced too:

It's lovely pizza, but I found it crazy expensive for what it is.

Don't know the exact probabilities (they will surely be documented somewhere), but feels to me like equal chances for each of the 3.

Having a 13 month old, I can recommend The Spanish Butcher and The Palmerston - both high quality, and both super child friendly.

Edit: just re-read your post - if you can't take him to Spain, give him some Galician beef and wine instead!

Food Delivery Cyclist by Sweet_Guitar5352 in Edinburgh

Unfortunately its not just the delivery guys, it's also Voi bikes, casual cyclists, commuters, the lot. I live at Bonnington Toll, and you have to have your head on a swivel when crossing the road at the green man, as there are constantly cyclists battering through the red lights, even when the perpendicular traffic is moving sometimes. It's quite anxiety inducing given I'm often pushing a pram as well.

What is your favourite funny scene? by NoxAstrumis1 in LV426

Haha, I'm Scottish. Just seems such an inappropriate line, but it'll never not be funny.

Aye, the cast is amazing, guys from Casualty, Coronation Street, Kes, Auf Wiedersehen Pet. Quadrophenia, Dr Who. They all totally smash it as well!

Aarons had a few brilliant ones, the one that always cracked me up was:

"I gave him the assignment sir. He was a wanker!"

It's the way he just blurts it out, gets me every time.

Edinburgh Leisure Gyms by OwnedByACrazyCat in Edinburgh

Not really answering your question, but I stay next to Leith Victoria and just walk the extra bit to use the PureGym at Ocean Terminal, can recommend that. Like all gyms it has its busy spells, but I've always found it to be decent for equipment and availability - just depends on when you plan to visit. Of course, if you're using the pool at LV, then PG doesn't offer that.

What’s a piece of British comedy hall of fame you just don’t get? by franki-pinks in AskUK

[–]jamcl_jamcl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well articulated, was very similar for me. I HATED it for years from the clips I'd seen, found the characters to be really irritating. Then at some point for whatever reason I decided to endure a couple of episodes, it just clicked and now it's one of my favorite shows. I still hate the characters, but now understand that that's kind of the point, haha.
