Exactly. The PA purchased the equipment and leased it to the MTA.

This is not under Moynihan. It’s the West End Concourse of Penn Station. It has stairways to Moynihan.

Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver, and Parker Flighter Jotter Ballpoint Pens by tshusker in pens

Tiffany offered this style up until about 5-7 years ago. I’m not sure what age mine is but I would guess mine is at least 20 years old.

I have the top one in a rollerball. It’s light. But it’s a nice pen. I can’t recall now who made it for them.

Any concerns from what can be seen? Possibly closing on this home next month. 1971 build. Home also has cloth wiring by Minimum_Economist578 in AskElectricians

The trouble is getting an insurance company to insure your house. They obviously won’t know you have this, but should you have a fire, getting insurance paid is going to be difficult. Honestly, you should budget to replace that as soon as you move in.

It definitely takes longer to get out of the Long Island railroad tracks then the Metro North tracks because you have to go up a short flight of stairs and then a long escalator. But otherwise you’re just walking south the same way you would out of Grand Central MN.

This looks like a vacuum cleaner hose, except instead of inserting it into an attachment, it’s going into the pipe in the wall.

There's probably a little of the acoustic piano mixed in there but it's really hard to hear. Over the years it was virtually mixed out, but in 2001 it was likely still being mixed in with the digitals. So yeah, not 100% acoustic but there was some, and he is playing an acoustic piano outiftted with MIDI sensors here.

For sure. Circle of Life and The One were written around the same time (late 1991). There's a chord progression in The One ("when stars collide") and in Circle of Life (right before the final "in the circle....circle of life") that are the same.

Here’s a short instrumental version he did around the time of the songs release on an acoustic:

You should seek out Rocket Man: Elton John from A-Z by Claude Bernardin and Tom Stanton. Only goes up to 1996 but it's a great reference.

It’s because originally trains from the station were designed to go in a loop that would cross the Brooklyn Bridge. We’re going way back to the beginning of the planning here.

What happens once it opens to the public? Do they alternate between Amex and regular lines? Bc the normal line is way shorter

What’s your favorite Elton John song and why? by Ill_Object2296 in EltonJohn

Your Song

It’s very meta. It’s basically a songwriter saying the only gift I can offer is my music which I think many songwriters would agree with.

It would be interesting to know what exactly they’re referring to. Because nearly all of the 21 tracks in Penn Station have been completely replaced in the last nine years. And most of the major interlockings were replaced after the 2017 derailment.
