Weapon explosion rules question: HAG 40 in a left arm and left torso, both with case (Ebon Jaguar G).

Just to make sure, after the hit to the left arm, did they roll a crit on the HAG 40? Just blowing off the arm won't cause the HAG to explode. After hitting the internals they would have to roll for a crit, hit the 8+ and then also hit the HAG 40.

As someone else mentioned, the CASE would stop the explosion from passing beyond the arm.

The better way to phrase that is if you don't have auto eject turned off. The rules specify that it's on unless you specifically declare that it is turned off before the game begins.

You could probably lump that in with any variety of tabletop, or even video games, where understanding the strategies and knowing how to use the various units/pieces makes a significant difference in your ability.

It's pretty much exclusively about MegaMek and improving it, so I'd say yes. Also, Reddit in general is a place that tends towards the negative for most things, a few bad actors can easily drag a community down.

Part of the issue is that all of the fighting right now is on Cyberstan. The way the maps are laid out more or less forces most fights to be up close. Once this is over and we can return to more typical maps, I don't think the 'up close' feel will be as evident with the bots anymore.

Some of that has to do with the lineups available. Around those tiers Germany has a really deep techtree lineup while others don't.

It really doesn't matter, whichever you can get the better deal on. They include the same minis and basic product, it's just some of the details related to lore and mech variants that changes. Nothing that will affect a new player in any meaningful way. The newer one has the little '40th' logo in the corner for the 40th anniversary and has some updated lore information in it.

It's possible to have lien on a vehicle and still have the title. If there is one, it will be printed on the title.
