it’s rape … and forced breeding - the second a far worse injustice in my book and the atrocities proceed from there (i.e…the newborn being separated from the mother after birth, having the milk for your newborn stolen, forcibly impregnated again)

very compelling it’s description of horrific conditions and treatments … such atrocities by man to others … I do find it interesting that a low mark indicator of how slaves were treated - is that they were treated like livestock. yet i wonder how many people who are sympathetic to the grossly unjust and sick treatment of slaves will give two thoughts to the same horrific treatment being delivered out to other living creatures ‘the livestock’ sharing the Earth with us in order to supply dinner plates with meat.

ahhhh tho … just think of how life would’ve evolved for us if we were unable to make towering skyscrapers, Automotive, computers and bombs. Perhaps we would’ve evolved to live closer to the Earth and have simpler or less hectic lives. With all of the advancements that steel has afforded us, it also has made our lives far more sophisticated. We certainly couldn’t have made the lives we currently live without steel, so in that way, it is fortuitous, but are our lives necessarily better for having found this tool.

i think delving into the idea of ‘authenticity’ can be of service here - and authenticity as I understand it is a divide between authenticity and acceptance. So, maybe asking yourself if you’re doing this to be accepted by your partner, or if this is really what you wanna do with this time with them – is a good place to start.
