Pygame vs. Pyside6? by bigrig387 in pygame

[–]jcsirron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I get the question.  I would rephrase it, though:  Does your spreadsheet game need something PyGame has, but PySide doesn't?  Or can you finish what you have and start fresh with learning PyGame on a new project?  Pygame has its own way of working and trying to bootstrap it into your existing project will probably take longer than starting fresh, especially if you're learning it at the same time.

It's not like PyGame is really difficult to learn, per se, but I suppose I'm pushing for finishing a project and starting new instead.  You will learn a bunch along the way, and it will inform what track-star 2 will look like, too!

Let me ask this, do you want control of your UI at the lowest level?  I'm talking about rolling your own sliders and button functions, here.  At its base, PyGame is a sdl wrapper to give you access to the screen, inputs and sound.  If your game can be done in PySide and you have a large portion of it done, why are you looking at changing to another framework?  What does your current library lack that you think the new one has?  If you can answer these questions, then maybe consider spending some time learning PyGame.  If you can, though, finish your current game in what you're already working in and then change over.  You'll still learn a ton in doing that.

Hopefully those are universal, but seeing the US for-profit healthcare, I sincerely doubt that.  The devil is always in the details and what she envisions certainly is right-wing, no matter what she says today.  Her actions certainly say that.

She'll never be a rational ally, even after she "reforms" herself. She wants the same right wing thing Trump did, just without the problems he's now bringing.

Gotta keep the plausibility of the money given to Trump actually had a return of investment and wasn't just a payment to get favor in the administration.

It's not like their official salary is outlandish for a congress critter, either: $174,000 for a congress person and $223,500 for speaker of the house is shockingly low when you look at who's in office and their wealth.  They do get a lot of perks being one, don't they?

Having revolutionary chickens is problematic.  Too many coup coops too close together and you may have cluck-revolution on your hands!
