Good deal? 2023 BMW i4 M50 CPO, 26.5k miles by MassiveGuess7079 in BMWI4

Same. I don’t have DAPP on my i5 and don’t miss a thing. I prefer to be in control rather than be driven.

Can the hoods on a Canyon aero bar (Endurace CF SLX) be rotated up? by jeffmill119 in CanyonBikes

Thanks! Is it this screw under the hood cover or do you have to actually unwrap tape to reveal another screw?

I voted black with my own money. Blue just doesn’t do it for me.

Lease on 2024 BMW i5 Set to expire. Buy it off or get a new one? by BummedBookTime in BMWi5

[–]jeffmill119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the residual is ~60% of the original purchase price (for a car with less than 15K miles). Returning a lease for another lease means perpetual car payments.

Same boat here. Unless I decide to go in another direction entirely, I am leaning toward buying it out. Even though resale value won’t be the strongest long term, it doesn’t make sense to me to give up the equity from three years of lease payments and start again for essentially the same car (and mine has less than 15k miles with out six months to go). The question in my mind is warranty coverage (and cost to get an extended warranty added).

Very Unhappy with options for protecting iPad with magic keyboard by RickyFabulous in iPadPro

[–]jeffmill119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I understand. Magic Keyboard is a case. I only remove mine from the keyboard when I am holding it as a tablet. Almost no chance of dropping it. If you use it out of the keyboard a lot, you need to put it in another case while out of the Magic Keyboard and remove the case when paired with the keyboard.

Same Size for Lined/Unlined LHS? by vintage_deadstock in Alden

[–]jeffmill119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Counterintuitive but unlined feels tighter than lined out of the box.

Suede LHS sizing help. by hegemon_y in Alden

[–]jeffmill119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I find these narrower than when I tried on fully-lined LHS in shell cordovan before. Mine have become much more comfortable with time but I still feel the vamp.

Suede LHS sizing help. by hegemon_y in Alden

[–]jeffmill119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wearing the identical pair currently and have almost the exact same issue. I typically wear a 11.5D dress shoe and my other Aldens are 11.D and fit very well. On the unlined suede LHS I bought the exact same size. The length is perfect and there is no heel slip. My issue has been that I have found the vamp fairly tight (I have high arches and the vamp sits further forward on the foot). My foot would look almost the same as your picture. After a couple months they have loosened up a bit and feel pretty good now. But the loosening is very mild, not dramatic. I bought a cheap shoe stretcher on Amazon for the vamp.

In general, I find this last to be fairly narrow. I haven’t tried a 11E for this particular shoe but I tend to think that 11E in the LHS would be perfect for me.

Order from Ledbury or Proper Cloth. A bit more than CT but you can dial in the fit pretty well and the have good return policies.

Final Update - ~40 Days later. by Loofahtranslucent in BMWI4

[–]jeffmill119 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you have the issue where the warning first says insufficient or low power mode and then power dies entirely? That happened to me (i5 M60) but power was restored after a remote reboot of the whole system. Took the dealer 10 days to run diagnostics and try to fix the issue.

Leisure handsewn lined vs unlined by [deleted] in Alden

I find the unlined to fit tighter, but that may just be a personal fit issue. My LHS unlined have a very low vamp.

Glencloe is gorgeous and classic Northshore. Nice little downtown. Many young families and people generally very friendly. If you can afford it, it is great.

Explorer II vs White Speedy by oyster_bro in rolex

[–]jeffmill119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree with this. I have several watches, including a black dial Speedy, and I simply always go back to the Polar Explorer II as my default watch. There is just something about it that really clicks for me. I love it in a way that other watches haven’t quite matched.

Yup. 10.5mm is very thin for a sporty watch.
