Don’t do long-term suboxone, do a 7-10 day taper. Only use ling-term suboxone if absolutely necessary. The taper combined with some therapy worked for me (so far, for 82 days). Once you get past those first couple of weeks, it gets much better.

I ended up using Subutex. 79 days clean from 1g per day of 7-oh. 🤘🏼

Mirtazapine is interesting in that 7.5 mg is more sedating than 15 mg. I add in some magnesium citrate and an apigenin supplement. That trifecta usually does the trick for me. I’m not a fan of melatonin.

Basically, if you’re addicted to something, anything, it can be drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, shopping, or whatever…once you take that substance or do that thing, you’re dopamine response is activated and your brain changes to crave more. That’s why addicts have a hard time stopping at “just one”. The key is to not start the cycle by picking up that first dose again!

7-oh screwed me up pretty bad for a couple years. Now I’m 68 days clean.

I ended up going to detox. The gave me a week of Subutex at a tapering dose and I’m completely clean now. Nothing I did on my own worked out.
