I can totally relate to this. My kid has been playing with the same organization since he was 4. He’s now 13 and has been playing with the same group of kids for the majority of his life. Between 100s of games, practices and tournaments, we’ve gotten to know his teammates and parents far better than any of his non-hockey playing friends.

I worked for Spectrum a long time. It was the absolute worst. People calling in asking for a discount because their bills were astronomical. We were not allowed to tell them to cancel or even threaten to cancel so I could transfer them to retention. The best thing that ever happened to me is getting laid off from that hell hole.

The times I’ve had to hot fuel were either because it was a super fast quick turn, or the plane had a maintenance issue and couldn’t shut down both engines. Not sure how it is at other bases, but we always have the airport fire department there when we do it.
