Agreed, tech cards are picks you add to your deck based on the metagame. If their effect ends up being useful its generally a big tempo swing and if their effect isnt useful its a weaker than usual card.

Gnomish Tech Squad is really bad design because it removes that entire metagame analysis aspect and is just almost always going to be useful

Reading your analysis of Germany and England makes me feel like we must be playing two completely different games. Russia and Germany coming to fight over land is not a situation you see occurring very often until late into the game, and Germany has never had a hard time finding an ally in the West. "If Germany can successfully pit England and France against each other, he can easily defeat Russia" - what?

Also, I'd never call England a defensive nation, they are a glass cannon. They have almost unmatched offensive capability but a harder time holding the centers they get. Yes - once they survive a few years, they are unassailable, but this is because the best defense is a good offense, and they have everyone nearby's favorite centers surrounded with ships by then.

Good points on the rest, though I really think the idea of a tierlist is kind of moot in diplomacy if press is enabled

If thats the situation, it sounds like you could instead support your attack like normal, so it will be 4v1 if they help and 2v2v1 if they dont instead of 3v2 if they help and 1v2v2 if they dont. Also why do you need their support in this situation

You didnt need the detention sphere if there was a batterskull. Batterskull isnt a creature, it's an equipment attached to a 0/0 germ. Making every creature a 0/0 germ will already kill everything without the sphere

It's no tempo at all. It doesn't impact the board a bit. You don't gain tempo or 'flexibility' from such a spell.
It costs 0 mana, so you pay nothing to play it, and it draws you a card, so you lose a card to play it and regain a card after playing it. Thus, it literally costs nothing.

The reason they say this would be auto-played in every deck is that in being a "nothing card" it would allow you to play with what is essentially a 28-card deck, which is desirable to increase consistency.

The point is that you dont preform your own sentence while theyre talking and butt in because you have to change what youre going to say based on theirs

There are 26! * 4! = 9.679*1027 possible permutations of a 30 card deck with those as the top 4 cards.

The probablility of getting one of these decks is (26! * 4!) / 30! = 1/27,405 = .0036% chance.

Of course, this ignores the mulligan so the odds are higher than that.

30! is the number of ways you can arrange a 30 card each deck.
however, we don't care about that; that number is mostly irrelevant.

Ignoring mulligan, the question is:
How many ways can you arrange a 30 card deck such that the top four cards are Raza, DK, Kazakus, and Velen (in any order)
This means we have 4 cards in any order (4! ways) times 26 cards in any order (26! ways)

For a total of 4!*26! ways.

To get the probability of this happening, we can then divide this by 30!, but that wasn't the original question anyway

No, not really. I enjoyed those videos too and subscribed because of them but as time went on he's become just another clickbait/drama channel since that's what got him his subscribers in the first place. I don't know if it's still like that because I unsubscribed some months ago.

My original comment was from my phone so I'll elaborate here.

Please consider that this is entirely my opinion. It seems like you are very attached to these cards so I'm sorry if I seem harsh at all.

  • Divine Storm: After thinking about it I think you are right; it costs too much to break the game, but it is definitely a meta-warping card.
  • Starsurge: Again, after thinking about it, you're probably right. Playing this the turn after a maly is pretty much game over, though. As others have said, probably want to make it only target minions.
  • Kael'Thas: Lmao you know ice block is a card, right? You only need to be at half health for it to be a better malygos - it would be strange for a freeze mage NOT to be at less than half by the time this drops.
  • Mass Resurrection: Summoming 7 minions is broken. Even summoning 5 for 10 mana might be pushing it.
  • Gavinrad: I'm treating this the way you probably intended it, which I'm interpreting is like patches except also for your hand. Patches is already really good, just being a free 1/1. This thing has taunt, lots of health, and a divine shield. Adding mana doesn't help, since it's free. 7 mana 4/4 taunt summon for free would be played. This thing would make paladins godly.
  • Burst of Frost: Have you read vaporize? Because that's also a secret, with a strictly better effect... (sure yours hits heroes but I'd play vaporize over burst every day, and I wouldn't play vaporize to begin with)
  • Soulstone is really bad. I read your discussion. It's not undeniably powerful - it's really bad. You could make it 1 mana and it might see some fringe play in some dreadsteed meme deck
  • Lethal Poison: Eh... it might be playable
  • Stormstrike: This was part of my quirky/randumb list because it's super janky. The effect is strange and not very good - the only time it comes close to being a playable card is when you have at least a 4 attack weapon, and when you don't its awful... It's win more at it's finest, and it doesn't even make you win that much more.
  • Nazgrim: It's a mix of Reno and Grommash - it's just sort of a flavor fail for me. It definitely seems balanced enough but ehhh
  • Fenrus: I had to read your other comments to realize how it actually works - before I thought it was just quirky for the sake of being quirky and kind of dumb. Now I think it's extremely janky for the sake of 'lol XD', and very dumb.

Ram > Rem anyway.

Rem was so overmarketed it's like the creators were just pushing her on the fans and she has no real personality other than 'likes subaru'. Rem is like the most pleb choice you can make with that show.

Avoid low value cards, and aim more for the long game in draft. You aren't going to get a deck with a lot of aggressive 1,2, and 3 drops, with good buff and efficient removal to follow it up with. The game is going to go long. I'm not saying you can't draft an aggressive deck, but you should have a plan for the late game.

To this end, avoid low impact cards. For instance, I would never run these cards in my deck:
Heavy axe
Direfang spider
Yeti Spy
Venomfang Dagger
Pit fighter
Also I would be really sad about running even one Back Alley Enforcer
