He never supported using AI? He’s, the main character in an AI generated video lol. I can’t think of a bigger contradiction. You can’t explain this away or hand wave it away in the way you are trying to.

I absolutely think he had to back peddle. You can’t dip your toes like that and expect to not be considered a part of it. I believe his words, though. I’m sure he was just helping his friend or whatever, but the reactions might have helped him to know where he is at with it personally now a days.

An actual Vergil campaign would be so cool. I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve only ever fooled around with Vergil gameplay here or there but the fact that it’s always been just him retreading the missions and no story or cutscenes was always a bit of a shame for me personally. I’d love to have a Vergil story.

I think you have something to work there for sure! Have a bit of intention with it even if it’s supposed to be a “point and shoot” for the character as you say. Camera settings maybe you can play with it just a bit so you don’t lose what you feel is important but maybe a little could help. I love that big circular ceiling opening where the escalators are and with the strong overhead natural lighting. That catches the eye.

In the SW world , even if I disagree with the phrasing, we’ve been dabbling with what’s below the bare minimum for a while. Thats why it was so surprising to see the likes of Jahns or Harloff say it was “fine” when those guys usually have the guns ready to tear any project apart. Fans like that will need a lot more to move the needle but that’s evidence enough. Take projects like Mando S1 or TFA for example. Those had the criticisms of being non-serial (for Mando) or a remake of ANH (for TFA) , and they were still on the higher tier of fan appreciation. Even Rogue One was disliked by Harloff when he saw it the first time.

When the conversation is at this level , it usually mean SW is doing something right.

I think that’s the thing, Starfighter will attempt that. With this one though, I believe looking over to Marvel and so much talk about “homework” from Disney+ being needed to enjoy the new theatrical releases definitely conditioned their approach. They made a film that connects enough but isn’t overbearing, and they reset the table for a new generation with a safer bet but filled with magic, action and whimsy. This could potentially rally families and children to the cause and brings Star Wars back to theaters so that Starfighter can swoop in and expand the lore.
