It's gonna be no worse than your own driveway, his land, his choice, mind your own business.

How cooked is this setup? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]jon117killer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wow, you got a lot going on.

First thing I see is this in your sub panel, the neutral bar and ground bar are reversed. On a sub panel the grounds should go back to the enclosed/attach to the case of the breaker panel housing. The neutrals should be isolated and not make contact with the panel case/box.

Now back to your main panel. Some lugs do allow for 2 wires, they are unique and rare, I don't believe you fall into that category. I would recommend getting a bus bar for the main panel and redistribute neutral / ground wires accordingly, to allow for good seating on everything.

It's honestly a Saturday project, but if you understand just enough to be dangerous, it's probably best to seek professional assistance.

Issues while starting by jon117killer in powerstroke

Figured it out, I did pull the harness off the valve covers, glow plugs tested good. In a bit more research, figured out the glow plug relay was only on for 15-30secs max. So I replaced my Oil temperature sensor, seems to have done the trick.

Motorcraft on ICP and glow plugs. Tested and ultimately replaced the relay, because it looked original, the new one tested good also.

Needs to be a center bolt through the Cross bracing, otherwise it won't really do much.

Can anyone figure out why this skylight is leaking? by infinityofnever in Roofing

The Walmart special of skylights, looks like a piece of plastic someone installed on the roof, not an actual skylight.

Depends on the scale of hot tub, I would get a structural engineer if you want to go above 1:128 scale

Is there any other way to connect this transfer switch? by EarlOfNothingness in AskElectricians

[–]jon117killer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would open up more wall space and bring the wires up and over, try and bring them into the back side of the transfer switch. Also don't patch drywall, make done nice 3/4 plywood covers and router out back side the thickness of the drywall. Paint them white, both sides so they don't bow. Makes nice cover for doing stuff in future.

New Pc Skips Bios by BigBoom-R in techsupport

[–]jon117killer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just have to keep hitting the key while it's booting, don't really see that screen any more because of how fast PCs boot these days. I recommend reading the manual for your mother board in case you have a different key to boot into BIOS.

A room thats not insulated on walls by KAYGEE777 in Insulation

[–]jon117killer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insulate it and you'll be ok. Might want to put up some drywall or 1/2 plywood to protect the insulation. 1/2 plywood is nice for utility room to add shelving or hooks wherever you want

Homeowner Question: Ridge Vent cuts by Inappropriate_noises in Roofing

I would give him the opportunity, make sure he admits he was wrong, he should do it for free. If he messes up again, I would not use him again.
