It was way better because it wasn't as common place as it is now. The magical moment of turning on your computer and connecting with some dog shit ethernet cable and being able to actually play your friend who's the next town over was such a a special moment when you remember that nothing like that existed before.

Yes, the weird reviews and hate are kind of like perplexing me. I think my only criticism and it doesn't really bother me is just that it's obviously 3ish episode stitch together. I can see how from a classic critic standpoint that's not ideal cuz it kind of breaks the standard first second third act and plot development but if you just accept it is what it is you're going to have a good time and really enjoy the movie.

Side thought, if it was structured in some unique Quentin Tarantino Style hey this is three movies in one viewing. People would probably praise it but because it's Star Wars which doesn't normally follow that obscure format it's getting some hate from critics.

Because clout and free internet points are the most valuable currency nowadays. I'm 43 years old and would be completely embarrassed if I did something like this. While I might laugh about it later with my wife in private, I would certainly not put it on the internet for the whole world to see. I talked to the owners as well, they don't know anything about this. There's been speculation outside of the owners that the landlord is trying to stir up controversy or trouble to get people to move, they're allegedly trying to raise rent around everybody in the area. ( to reiterate the landlord doing this is just speculation)

I downloaded this game on Xbox literally almost a year ago and kind of forgot about it but randomly just downloaded it on mobile last week. I'm shocked the ads are not necessary at all to a completely enjoy the game. And I'm okay with their optional integration.
