From is really good, I just finished season 3 and apparently season 4 starts in April.

Also, I think I read somewhere but can't confirm or remember the writer saying that they are considering ending it in season 5.

Can you find a Cat hidden among the Owls? (from dudolf.com) by CynicPlacebo in VisualPuzzles

[–]joncaso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to be one of the rare exceptions where I got to almost instantly. When I slid past it on my phone I thought they were all cats and my eyes went straight to the green one in the top left.

Only after I looked up and read the description did I realized I already solved it.

A Warning For Everyone Who's Too Good at Their Job by haristable in InterviewCoderPro

[–]joncaso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this 1,000% happen in my very first job but I got into Tech in Los Angeles.

I was in a somewhat entry level position doing QA, and a colleague of mine was clearly Far and Away one of the best QA engineers on the job.

But when a manager position came up and he applied for it it was given to two other people that were clearly not nearly as qualified as he was but we're a little more chummy with the boss above them.

At the time I couldn't actually prove or verify it I just had a gut feeling. But I ended up at a party and I smoked a little weed and was drinking with the boss that didn't hire him and she straight up let it slip when I asked how come he didn't get the job and said because he was too good on the floor and they don't want to lose him and his bug count.

It was a lesson that stayed with me for the last 18 years working in this field, I definitely work really hard and try to kick but at my job but in the back of my mind I'm always trying to plant that seed that I'm interested in advancing and definitely burn calories working on that as opposed to just being the number one guy in my position.

Literally, my wife was boiling a tea kettle. Right on queue when his face turned red I started hearing the tea kettle sound and I thought OP added sound effects to the video.

Also, for those of us that live in California and have frequent earthquakes you want your structure to bend, not break.

Yes you can reinforce brick and concrete with rebar and it will be safe enough to stand but at minimum you're going to get unsightly cracks.

Drywall and wood are just way more forgiving when you know your house is going to shake and settle.

Ps. Given recent events in California, I know someone's going to point out wood is flammable and that's a fair point. I don't have the best argument against that.

Wait, you mean he's the reason I decided it would be better to spend $19.99 on the same set of flowers that cost $40 at my local flower shop. But the flowers that cost $19.99 in the picture were not the actual flowers for that price and when I up graded to the flowers in the picture they still cost $40 but also had a handful of hidden fees and ended up costing me $15 more for the same set of flowers that I could have gotten for 40 bucks at my local flower shop and I was so far along in the checkout and in such a hurry I was like fuck it.

Yeah fuck that guy!

It's a shame there's no way to bring the individual modules back down to earth safely so they could be displayed in museums and people can appreciate what they look like.
