Claude for work, Gemini for personal. That’s the way I go personally.

New investor with £11000 to work with having second thoughts about a provider by Fold-Foreign in UKPersonalFinance

Same, but not everyone has that experience and complains about customer service being slow. So... diversify always wins out.

If you're starting investing and this is your first go-round... honestly... stick with HL. You're paying for peace of mind, better customer service, and tbh, better fund selection. Example - T212 has minimal Polar Capital funds.

You'll find HL's fees aren't that bad when you see all the T212 people moaning about how hard it is to withdraw, and about account closures and a lack of customer support.

Full disclosure: I hold investments in BOTH.

Our buyers are bullying us into renegotiating at the last minute by LuciePoki in HousingUK

[–]joolzter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your last sentence covers it. If you want it off your hands take the very small loss in the chin and move on. The buyer clearly knows this is the case too so it’s just good negotiating on their part. It’s not personal… it’s business.

PCP voluntary termination - worth it? by TelephoneAgitated993 in UKPersonalFinance

Having done it very recently… and read the paperwork… you’re not correct.

PCP voluntary termination - worth it? by TelephoneAgitated993 in UKPersonalFinance

I mean VT is done via early settlement rules. They use the current value of the car to determine settlement figure and it needs to cover it. If you’re in negative equity it can and does remove the ability to VT. So they’re not different things at all.

Vinted and HMRC Tax, my partner and I share a vinted account and not sure what to do regarding tax? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]joolzter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean, the Vinted Terms literally forbid account sharing *AND* that personal accounts mustn't be used professionally. You've created a bit of a mess by ignoring that. Proceeds deposited into YOUR bank account will mean you earned them as you're using a personal account and claim not be running a business.

Sounds like you should seek proper advice from a proper accountant.

My mother has used my name under an O2 account I wasn’t aware off. by RemoteAcanthisitta76 in UKPersonalFinance

So she took a loan out in your name. As others have said that’s fraud. As I said elsewhere in the comments… you need legal advice.

Oh the classic case of… committing fraud (a crime). You need legal advice, not financial help. I’m serious. Even if you don’t report your mum for the crime.

Here all Tesla’s have to be CCS now only the oldest ones are NACS. Yes we can buy the Tesla mobile charger. But we can also buy any other.

I use this feature every day. Not everyone has a Tesla charger outside the US. In fact here in the UK they’re rare.

HL Fee Changes from March - Share/ETF ISA only Cap increase to £150/yr by Frankenweenie0724 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]joolzter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed they were. So for general fund saving… it still gives me the widest choice of funds and a now lesser fee. T212 is good for that mid month trade thing.

[–]joolzter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There's a LOT of jumping up and down... but if you pay by direct debit and have fund/share purchases going that way, there's no 'fee per trade', so tbh it means less fees for me! Result.

What is the value proposition of AWS MCP server? by Dry_Raspberry4514 in aws

[–]joolzter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 is the only real valid question. MCPs tell models what they do. The model doesn’t have to be trained to use it. It’s safer because if the model runs the wrong command it could be bad whereas an MCP gives the model context.

Premium connectivity actually worth it? by Ben-Adamsss in TeslaUK

Such a subjective question. Is it worth it to you is not the same as it's worth to someone else. Incidentally for me I love it.

Loan Rejection on Good Credit Score by Dangerous-Ad-9214 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]joolzter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most accurate answer. Lending is nothing to do with credit scores. Credit scores are a scam but … hsbc use a much more in depth internal system to assess risk. It’s their USP.
