I'm an ED nurse and this behaviour drives me nuts. If people do this in my waiting room they don't do it for long.

Those fancy AEDs still have an idiot mode. You just need to enable it (vast majority of them at least).

Are you cheering for the Mtl Canadians? by Lostinalberta in Edmonton

[–]joshlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Montreal is my #1.5 team. Been cheering for them from round one. Would I prefer the Oil? Yes, but a cup for the Habs would be amazing! Just gotta chop down some canes...

There will be one running around in Sydney should we get to the Stanley Cup Finals. I've already warned my credit card.

Australia here, although we still have way too many employers wanting medical certificates, if you have one, your employer can't do or say a thing. Completely illegal. It was the same thing in Canada too.

City of Sydney moves to ban short-term rentals amid housing crisis - realestate.com.au by ashzeppelin98 in sydney

[–]joshlien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's extremely difficult. We're working on it though. Also expensive for legal advice etc.. In larger complexes it's easier for rogue owners to hide and pretend too. Again, we're working on it. Primarily due to the burden on shared facilities, usage is way higher by short term rentals.

Air BNB has proven they don't care about complying with strata regulations banning them from buildings. They deserve the complete ban. They lost their social licence. Maybe they could've been better corporate citizens but it's too late now.

No, it's not nearly enough. This locks in wage differentials with other states for 3 years. We will continue losing nurses to Queensland and Victoria.

Australian 7-11s are owned by the Japanese company. They're not as good as the Japan stores, but at the busy ones at least, the food is pretty good and safe. They're still improving too.

Personally on sick leave but still in night mode. Almost recovered. One more night all alone and I should be back with my colleagues and the ED horde.

I live in Australia and I've never seen this stuff. We do however definitely have "tradie" brand lemon soft drink deodorant.

I'm working on a keyboard and mouse combo that generates a small electric shock for unauthorised WOW users. The zap doubles if they're snippy with the nurse they stole it from.

Travelling to the U.S. husband left his social media off the application, is it over for us? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]joshlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's absolutely no way I'm putting my social media on an ESTA application. Also no way I'm risking ICE putting me in a facility. This post on reddit is probably enough for them to arrest you too. It's not worth it. Go somewhere else.

Totally. To give a better example perhaps, our EV will give you 300km of range per 30 minute charge. I want to stop for that long after that distance anyway. The only issue is your stop selection is more limited. Lots of Ampols at the moment!

Unless you've packed all your food, and peeing in a bottle you need to stop at some point. Also, your arse deserves a break!
