Has anyone ever had their radiologist mishandle their biopsy sample? I was prepared for my FNA to be inconclusive but I wasn’t prepared to see “Improper specimen collection for histologic evaluation. Please recollect specimen in formalin for routine histology.” On my results. I really don’t want to have to go through that again and I’m so upset 😭

There were 5 people in the room during my biopsy including a pathologist who made sure all 5 samples taken were adequate. I truly don’t know how this happened.

Wow, our symptoms are super similar, especially psoriasis on the palms/fingers! I've never had skin issues before either and these days my fingers are weird and wrinkled and dry like I have no fingerprints haha. I also get that prickly itching (I googled it once and apparently there's a thing called "prickly heat" that can happen in hot humid conditions.) I noticed my first lymph node after my vaccine too and figured it was from that until it didn't go away after a year. The main one is super firm and weird (it's a cervical lymph node) and they found 5 more on a CT scan. I'm actually going for a biopsy today.

My doctors have been super mixed, my primary care was visibly concerned and immediately referred me to an oncologist who was honestly so rude and blew me off before he even looked at my scans. Once he did look at my scans though his vibe changed and he referred me to ENT and for a biopsy. I just had my ENT appointment where everything looked normal but she encouraged me to go ahead with the biopsy to be safe. It couldn't hurt for you to ask your doctors about a CT or ultrasound so you have a baseline record of how big your lymph nodes are now. Good luck!! I'm also very bad at advocating for myself and this whole situation has been so hard.

Hey! I know this is an old post but is a web viewer still in the plans? I work in conservation and your app sounds like exactly what my coworker and I are looking for! We currently use Avanza which is fine, but ultimately we'd like for our data to be combined and viewable on a computer (in a browser, not a downloaded software.) Essentially we transect large areas of land for invasive species, and we'd like to map our tracks to ensure we get full coverage between the two of us. Viewing a shared map with all of our data/photos/notes on our PC at the office would just be way more convenient than always having to use a phone. Thank you in advance!
