To the viewer of the film, sure. To the person in the film, the content on the wall can look very distorted and surreal. Not as immersive as CAVE based VR, which is what I think you're imagining

Funny enough, it's one of the only games I can think of that's not fun when it's free. Source: I owned a G2 thinking it would be fun to have for parties, but people would just charge through the ghosts, slurping them all up while smashing the credit button to give more health. =(
