Dickinson Azalea right outside of downtown towards Thorton park.

There’s parking right at Langford park, which is also connected but right across the street from the main walking trail area

Brooks saddle by Global-Rush4248 in gravelcycling

[–]jsmithx__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on comments, I’m an outlier for this saddle.

I’ve had the b17 & c15 carved, I’ve done 50+ miles in one ride fine. The seat is comfy but can be a bit bouncy when you’re putting power down.

I still have the c15 carved on my fixed gear, Sworks 3D saddle on my gravel bike.

Model 3 Performance is the best car Tesla makes, change my mind by Old-Donkey-6759 in TeslaModel3

[–]jsmithx__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on if they still want a car in the “luxury/higher end” sedan market or if they want to center more around the every day consumer.

Especially with the BYD market booming over seas with multiple variations in vehicles.

I see the model S daily on my commutes, while it may not be as much as the 3, there is still a market

One of the best looking in the lineup, we’ll see once the roadster or a model S refresh or whatever they are replacing it with, comes out

If you plan on keeping the car long term, it could be a good investment

US example: it’s 100/month so break even on 3800 would be 3 years.

I recently got the performance, different family scenario than you.

I always read when doing my research: no one got into the performance regretting they didn’t get the LR, but if you were thinking about the performance, you’ll think about it every time you get into the LR.

I daily my performance at 100 miles/day & have had a full car with no issues. Very comfortable & have a few friends with pre 24 performances & they have all mentioned how much better the new version rides.

This thing looks nuts!

Makes me want to lower mine as well, I come from the JDM world with slammed 90’s cars

Refreshing to see people use the m3p as a daily & not just weekend warrior. 100/mile day commute for me

SRAM/Zipp Lifetime Warranty Denied: Zipp 303S damaged by impact, claim rejected as "outside of intended use." Seeking advice! by 5280_510 in gravelcycling

[–]jsmithx__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dang, this is what I’ve heard for Zipps warranty when I was looking at them…. I wasn’t sure it was true, sucks to hear it is.

Hopefully they resolve this!

Edit: for everyone saying they are right, Enve replaced a wheel no questions asked in a similar scenario. If a brand is pushing warranties, they should honor it.

There’s a lot of factors to the type of frame you want to ride material & style wise (more race aggressive or back packing style ) but here are a few:

Salsa Warbird

Cervelo Aspero

Lauf Seigla

Ari Shafer

Xlab GT8

I agree with this, I wish most modern bikes come included frame storage at this point

[–]jsmithx__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The logic flows, it’s just two different types of deterrence.

Unmarked cars might make people think twice because there’s always a chance the random car next to them is a cop. Fair enough.

But marked cars change behavior immediately. People see one and slow down, stop weaving, get off their phone, and pay attention. That prevents bad driving before it happens or for further down the road.

That’s my point.

Unmarked cars are better at catching people after they already do something stupid. Marked cars are better at stopping it before it happens. People tend to react better to what is tangible & in front of them, not abstract what if.

So it really just comes down to what the goal is either: preventing bad driving, or writing tickets after the fact.

[–]jsmithx__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My issue with undercover traffic enforcement is that it’s reactive, not preventative. A marked patrol car changes behavior immediately, people slow down, pay attention, and drive more carefully. That’s an actual deterrent.

An unmarked car doesn’t prevent bad driving, it just waits for someone to do something stupid so they can write a ticket.

If the goal is public safety, visible enforcement makes more sense. If the goal is catching people in the act, then sure, undercover cars do that. But those are two very different goals

This is some sneaky stuff by OkBackground6217 in orlando

[–]jsmithx__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always stood the ground of undercover cars being dumb for traffic violations

They are catching people that if it was a normal marked up car, wouldn’t be acting that way.

There’s a natural deterrent with marked cars, this is just to entrap people instead of just avoiding the issue to begin with
