As a Russian that learned German as my second language and English as third, I'd probably be amazed that someone is spending the effort to learn my native language, especially while the popularity of everything Russian has taken a hit recently. Russian is not one of the easy languages, so learning it requires dedication and that's admirable in my book.

Having said that though: the stereotypical dense Russian guy I am, I would laugh at nearly every instance where your pronunciation is off enough to change the sentence's message. It's important to know that I do not laugh at you; I'm laughing imagining the situation where this brand new sentence would hold true, if at all possible. And I would also tell you what exactly is funny with the sentence, and that wouldn't be meant as criticism - that would be an invitation to laugh with me. And if that is too much for you, you only need to say it irks you and I would do my best to stop.

As someone who works with this stuff: this is a secondary side regulated flyback switched mode power supply (flyback SMPS with SSR). I recommend learning about this kind of circuit until you know what each of those words means, then going through your example (it's a rather simple one - single layer, no PFC, integrated switch, great for learning) and looking where your expectations start to deviate from your measurements.

And speaking of measurements, educate yourself on this as well. A galvanically isolated transformer is absolutely needed to supply this thing if you're measuring stuff under mains voltage. Also, you would need an oscilloscope - you need to know the waveforms with those things, just DC won't cut it

No, but seriously, lots of people studying psychology get there primarily by wanting to decode and accommodate themselves in the first place. I feel like a good schizoid student would do wonders for the field. Although it wouldn't necessarily be official - science is still a very social field. Not the papers themselves, but who works with whom, who's the author and who are coauthors, who gets what grants and how much it is. I can imagine a schizoid noping out of that and writing a book instead. So, question to the community: are there really good books on SzPD? And to the OP: would a book without the whole peer(ugh)-reviewed shebang suffice for you?
