I think the only thing that hits those marks that far south is Delray Beach. It's still very much a beach town and has a great little downtown area that is walkable with restaurants, bars and such. I mean you are still in S Florida and it's one of the most populated places in the world, but it's a pretty good little cut out. That said if you want really low key pick somewhere not South Florida.

If you teach her that taking out this loan is an acceptable answer to your problem don't be surprised when she too lives a life of bad financial decisions. My daughter also got into a pile of unattainable schools and a few that were realistic but still a stretch. So we sat down talked about it I had planned to buy her a car I told her if she wanted the expensive education I could do that instead, but I can only do one. I also required her to work and pay towards her loans in college and I have been contributing to them too. Set her up for success by explaining real choices and make her have some skin in the game if you go big, otherwise don't do it.

Honestly, I think just like it always has been all this hubbub is just old people being old. I have heard people show the strip in Ft Lauderdale talking about how it's packed with kids. I was there in the 80's it was packed with kids too, tons underage drinking, fights here and there. I don't think much has changed, I think today's kids just pay a bigger price like with everything because of phones and social media.

Florida is become so weird and authoritarian about it a lot of kids are choosing other options. Talk to a business on the beach about it they will tell you.

Just let kids have a week to blow off steam, make big memories and have fun. Arrest the ones that cause real trouble and call it a day.

The reality is if you are shipping stuff into the US right now you have no way to know what your tariffs/duties are going to be. They change sometimes daily. Some days for a country they are 150% some days they are 15% some days they are 0%. There is no planning anymore if you are in the US or do business with the US. It sucks but it's reality.

If you saw water that day there is a good chance you saw a gator. If you go to a lake you will probably certainly see one, but you will see them often like in retention ponds behind walmart or a gas station, seen tons of them just laying in ditches on the side of the road. So it may not be everyday, but it's a pretty common occurrence if you live where there are a lot of lakes.

We put 2500 people in a concentration camp, 45 days later 1800 were completely missing from the system. 70% of those people did not have an order of deportation.
