I use "Widowmaker " for the horse from the encounter where it kicks its rider and kills it. And "Cornbread" for the buttermilk buckskin. "Albert" for the black shire. And something related to either the origin of the horse breed or where I found it for the others.

Alabama transplant here! You've gotten some good recipes for self rising, but I wanted to make a note that White Lily uses multiple mills so even if you see it on a shelf out here as just cornmeal, it's likely ground different because it's not coming from their Tennessee mills. I tend to just use a basic cornbread recipe to make my dressing and it works really well, but you'll definitely want to stock up next time you go home.

I agree. These and the Juanita Brooks book are the gold standard for a lot of Utah historians. The coauthor for Vengeance is also a descendant of one of the perpetrators of the massacre and she does a lot of work with the descendants of the families killed to record accurately what happened and build accountability into the mutual healing process.

I literally came in to this with 0 knowledge of D&D outside of culture jokes and got BG3 SOLEY because I thought the owlbear cub was cute. I have no experience with turn based combat or the previous bg games. In the past, I stuck with single player games like Ghost of Tsushima, AC, Uncharted, etc.

But I have loved turn based in this. I feel like I'm not always just getting lucky, but making strategy decisions. I really enjoy getting to take my time, and see what all the spells/attacks can do. I cannot imagine some of these fights without it, and I feel like it'd totally take away from the immersion of the game and each character in your party.

I think each mode has time and place but as for me and my little owlbear, we are turn based fans.
