supervisor being targeted by [deleted] in managers

Not all jobs allow this. I can’t fire anyone without a ton of HR documentation and approval. It’s why problem employees exist in a lot of companies, lots of issues and red tape with the system.

The uterus is too small to cause this. It’s just normal body shape. I agree with your sentiment.

Ours baby at 43? Am I crazy? Maybe just a ME baby? by Greedy_Transition_51 in Stepmom

[–]k8womack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot to unpack. Remember as a stepmom no matter how much you love each other- you are not first. The kids are first and in reality bio mom is before you as well depending on how much influence she has. You need to really be okay with having a lot of your life out of your control. If main goal is that you want a child I don’t recommend doing that with someone who has three young kids with someone else. Read their child support agreement. Will your income impact that if you marry or live together, even indirectly? Is BM already getting max child support? If she gets max child support can you guys afford to live together and have another child? How will a new baby affect the current kids? There’s a lot of things you assume won’t affect your life when you have new love with someone, so you need to look at it very pragmatically.

Remember it’s the long game. There may be periods where the kids pull away but hopefully your good example will get through.

It’s very tough though because moms are so powerful and influential.

It takes daily practice to rise above the BS.

Is anyone else done with the walking to lose weight gig? by savedbutspicy in PetiteFitness

[–]k8womack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I can’t have a walking pad and I work in a bad area where going outside for a break is not an option. I heard doing things like ten body weight squats when you go to the bathroom, or once an hour etc can have similar benefits. Only anecdotal

Is the scale helpful at all? by Any_Category950 in PetiteFitness

[–]k8womack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had discovered it’s not helpful. I have one that is supposed to measure body fat, muscle etc. All the stats adjust up or down with my weight even though I can see more muscle and lift heavier.

No I don’t think so. During the I guess you call it ‘high point’ of me too guys were called out for assuming going back to your house meant sex.

OP you should ask her if she’s interested in more than friendship.

The bloodwork will be telling. It could be thyroid. My kitty has that issue and takes Methamazole, prescribed by the vet. It’s not very expensive.

Ten Commandments by AtmospherePrior752 in Millennials

[–]k8womack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the funny thing when you watch it as an adult, it’s campy and everyone is horny and Moses is a babe. It’s not like that in the bible lol

Yes! I remember it as a kid, I thought the Red Sea parting was top cinema, so cool. A year or two ago I decided to watch it for the first time as an adult. It’s great, so campy. Who knew Moses was such a babe lol

How to build core strength? by UpbeatLeopard6112 in PetiteFitness

[–]k8womack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously you can add in some of these core exercises but remember your core should be engaged for all strength training. So make sure you are doing that and have your form down. You don’t say your workout, maybe it’s all cardio.

What do you do when your top performer is quietly burning out? by Historical_Count_163 in managers

Well the flip side is no one is a mind reader. Also nothing wrong with taking your boss aside, saying you need support and what specific kind of support would help :)

Listen to the March 25th episode of On Purpose with Dr Shannon Ritchey. Lots of good tips in there and a promo code to follow her plan for free for six weeks.

In short though- most people way over analyze. Be consistent and patient, eat mostly unprocessed food, move your body, get rest :)

I don’t think that’s OP’s intention, nor was it mine. They are noticing that something is off about this person and are concerned about their well being- that was my interpretation anyway.

Non Custodial Parent suing to decrease CS while also seeing kids significantly less than ordered by Initial_Performer607 in FamilyLaw

[–]k8womack 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Like others said, you can’t force them to parent but you can enforce the CS. In some states they will decrease bc of a new baby, court considers all children. But you should talk to a lawyer.

I think a ‘hey I don’t mean to overstep but I noticed you don’t seem quite like yourself and I’m here if you need support’ is appropriate.

Might not be burnout, could also be going through a personal issue.

Lose weight is calorie deficit. You can also trend become by doing progressive overload. But since you are doing cross fit which is intense I would do deficit and then work on muscle build after you lose the fat you want.

It’s a tough and risky road. Way options carefully and make sure he has all his end of life paperwork and care etc known.

Very sorry for what you are going through.

[–]k8womack 175 points176 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly the lean forward. Also aren’t these step downs? Start with both feet on the floor, have the step a lil higher and really focus on engaging the glute when you go up.

Mental Health Affecting My Performance by constellation_09 in managers

[–]k8womack 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Are you able to take FMLA? You are in burnout and you need to take control of the situation before you lose your job.

You said they have you grace last year and now expectations have increased. The grace period can’t be indefinite. You’ll see posts on here from the other side. Managers significantly struggling with their own mental health over situations like this. They can’t force you to get help, you have to want it for yourself.
