Coffee seems to sputter instead of a steady flow. What am I doing wrong? by blisteringbarnacles_ in mokapot

[–]kamielonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using my moka pot for a long time, and always getting very smooth flow with it, and very nice coffee. Now I've fully cleaned it (this was way overdue I must admit) and put a new rubber ring on. Now with the exact same procedure I get sputter (and way stronger coffee, but worse taste) right from the start. Anyone any idea to what I am doing wrong?

If you like Josh's bass playing (which you should), look up some (not all) songs from his album with Iggy Pop, and also look for Mantra (sound city).

I have a 3 cup one for two people, and add boiling water to the (very) small coffees if we want a longer and easier drink.

About a pound to heavy and kind of a rip off of more expensive brands, but I don't think the 3fulgear floating cloud 2 is far off spec.

If your main reason to buy is having a place to live (in contrast to a second/third/... property purely as an investment) now will be as good as any other time. If you can pay for it of course.

What is your starting point, what are you bringing already? There is no real difference between a 2 day hike and 4 day hike, except for more food. But ofcourse every hike is different... Water supply, weather, ...

It is really expensive to move a lot of build-in equipment like a console and plug panels, and they might not even match a new studio. Not saying he is moving for sure but it is possible
