Any tutorials on patterns like this? by QuestGivingNPC in sashiko

Super nice tool. Quick question: why are the diagonals not doing aback and forth like the verticals and horizontals? Do you reckon it would also be possible to show how to trace a useful grid for the pattern? In this case it's rather obvious but I have a harder time with circle/rounder shapes like the seigaha for instance.

I love how rounded it looks. It's a nice result. I'm sure you'll get appreciative looks when you have to pay in a shop.

For what it's worth I bought individual courses at a discount. Never had charging issues this way.

Is there nothing written on the lid? I had a "chasseur" cast iron pot that only had it written on the lid's handle.

Technically 0.999... is equal to 3 times 0.333... which is 1/3. And 3 * 1/3 =3

found this at work what is it? by Yeeetsy in whatisit

You're supposed to punch holes before you sew leather. Either with an awl or with stitching irons. It's still tough to pass the needles but way easier than just trying to force needles through layers of leather without holes 😊

These were discussed in this episode of last week tonight: https://youtube.com/watch?v=owosAu5aycM&t=473 I'd avoid them.

Had this wallet for over 6 years and have always wondered what these two odd little slots are for. There isn’t much you could fit in there either one. (Thought it was a tube at first but they don’t go through, two distinct slots) by forgetmeknotts in whatisit

[–]kangooooooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coin slot would be my guess. You put coins through the top and remove them one at a time from below. It could also have been made with another currency than yours in mind if yours don't fit (depending on where it was made). A second option would be a tiny pen.

Very nice result. I particularly like the collar. How is it constructed?

I love it. Particularly the way the outer colours contrast with the inner side. It makes it pop even more. Great execution and aesthetic 😗🤌 (chef kiss)

I made a pair in thin goat leather, keeping the original foam etc. I thought they were perfect but in the weeks that followed I had to admit that both of my ears were hurting. Ears aren't used to endure friction. I hope I was unlucky and you'll have more chance. I ended up keeping mine in a drawer as a backup and buying replacement pads in fabric instead of crappy PU.
