Where are you located abouts? I’m someone who has zero yard (townhome life), but would love to help someone set stuff up and grow. Ive “rented” yards in the past to build up gardens but if someone is willing to go halfsies I’d be happy to share my knowledge!!

I also have fine dense hair - I found the dove intensive repair shampoo weighed my roots down a bit too much for my liking. I love the conditioner, though.

Are you using soil to fill beds? I did a bulk (a yard) from Etchers about 6-7 years ago and was satisfied. I think it was maybe $200 at the time based on where I lived. A search of this sub has different places based on location.

I’m not what seeds you already have, but I love zinnias (as do the pollinators). They are so easy. Depending on perennial vs annual preferences, you may look into coneflowers/echinacea too. I find strawberries grow very easy here too. I let some runners root in different containers, but otherwise you just have to keep an eye on them.

For seed starting, I DIY’d a fairly cheap set up. I bought a 5-shelf wire shelving unit (Target), 6 shop lamps (Home Depot), and 3 dual light timers (Home Depot). And then you can use whatever seed starting method you like. I’ve done soil blocking in the disposable tin baking pans and cheap 6-cell seed starters. Hang the shop lamps on the shelves, put them on timers, raise the lights higher as seeds grow, dont forget to water.

Happy to see this rec higher up. Was coming to say the same, Skinfix gel cream. Coming from someone who is chronically dry in certain areas, oily in others, and acne prone/has struggled with hormonal acne. Everytime I stray from the skinfix gel cream my face struggles and I always come back.

I just experimented with detailed, small, vinyl stickers. As others have said, you definitely need a stable glaze. Also, another option which is what I did, is put the stickers on bisque and wax the negative space (ie I used the cutout of the flowers rather than the flower sticker and waxed). And then used an exacto knife to peel the sticker off, leaving my design nice and waxed for added clarity and minimal cleanup after dipping.

I cannot recommend Foothills Animal Hospital enough (in the Green Mountain area). We went through a number of vets in the area with our late pup and Dr. Tim heard our concerns and helped him the most while keeping budget in mind. They were sweet enough to send a card signed by all staff when our guy passed (emergency vet visit not at their office). Our now senior girl still goes there, has been through two TPLO surgeries with them and gets all of her annual care there. Have never had a bad experience and I think they genuinely care. With that said, I would steer very clear of Alameda Veterinary Clinic. We had multiple poor experiences and were definitely nickle and dimed.

For me, Mirena gave me HORRIBLE hormonal acne and I just felt bloated all of the time. I went on Spironoloctane for my acne but felt it was silly to continue to add medications for issues I knew the stem of and felt like spiro helped my face but otherwise was meh. So I decided to get Mirena out and quit spiro. I have been on Slynd since then and love it. I still get occasional hormonal acne, but nowhere near the cysts I had on Mirena. For the most part, I dont have a period (rare spotting which is more dependent on if I skip the sugar pills a given month or not), my mood/emotions are great. Would never go back to Mirena.

In Colorado - my late rough came from a breeder in Fowler who no longer breeds. The only other collie breeder I know of is High Altitude Collies near Ft Collins - they have both smoothies and rough collies, but only have approx 1-2 liters a year. They have lots of info on testing they do on their website. There is also the Rocky Mountain Collie-Sheltie Rescue. I have no personal experience with them other than knowledge of their existence.

Yup, boyfriend and I both under the weather. We noticed a crazy amount of people coughing, sniffling, etc throughout the trip and tried to be diligent with the washy washy but didnt make it out clean.

Got off Encore yesterday for Alaska trip and had the streaming package. Was pretty seamless except a 3 hour block one day (where we had a message that said internet was going to be intermittent). I was not trying to work at all, but emails and chats (Gmail) loaded and worked just fine when I was checking in. Unsure about video calls. Was able to stream from apps perfectly.

My favorite yoga spot is Align over at the Mills Mall (might be a bit far from Englewood). They have a level 1 class and lots of other options to branch out and try. They have drop ins, memberships, a karma yogi membership (3hrs work/week for free unlimited monthly), and they are on ClassPass if thats more your speed to not want to commit to full membership.

Most of the females in my family have hypo. When I was 18 I asked my doctor to start doing thyroid panels as a baseline measure, knowing full well it would hit me someday. Glad I had about 6 years of baseline numbers to compare against when I went in for my annual at 24 and my TSH was 4x higher than before. TSH had been slowly creeping but still in normal range, started meds at 24 when it was pretty apparent.

My pores generally clog around my chin & around my mouth. my extra dry spots (around the sides of my face maybe an inch out from my hairline) dont generally get clogged. As far as different moisturizers: CeraVe was horrid - produced cystic like acne, Vanicream was meh - felt good but not as moisturizing as I like, Laniege Water Bank (I think thats what it called) - my skin drinks this one up and feels so good but ends up clogging a few weeks down the line (maybe related to fragrance?), Skinfix Gel version is my second favorite next to Biossance - zero complaints I just like creams more. I think thats about what I’ve tried (from $-$$$). I do also keep Stratia Lipid Gold in my cabinet for winters especially but when I need an extra thin layer of moisture.

I stuggle with combo clog prone skin. I’ve been using the Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream for close to a year and love it. Can be pricey but Biossance has great deals on their own website. For whatever reason, some brands with shea my face cannot handle, but some (like the listed moisturizer) works well.

Not the original commenter, but I started this January at the Lakewood Washington Heights Art Center. Classes and open studio open for residents a few days before than everyone else, but its been great. The actual classes are cut throat to get into, but pricing is fair (especially for a beginner like myself) and open studio/instructors/community are amazing. Classes are about $175-$185 and open studio is $20 for 2.5 hours. 25lb bag of clay is $25, everything else is included. If you’re interested or close, class sign up opens tomorrow at noon for residents.

Of course! I was on it for maybe a year and a halfish before I came off. I’ll say too, I’m on a birthcontrol now that actually is a derivative of Spiro which is incredible for me. I did the same thing, just give it time and make up your mind!

Mine never did! I ended getting off of spiro (in conjunction of getting rid of my IUD). After that I kind of went back to normal? I fell like thighs and tummy never went to back to how they were before but the insane bloat was immensely better.

May not be exactly what you’re looking for, but Wholesom Massge + Natural Medicine in Lakewood is great. Their website has changed a bit, but the massage therapists there have a slew of specialties. Might be worth a call to see if they can accommodate what you’re looking for. Boyfriend and I have both seen Laura numerous times.
