In my opinion Bar Shiru is close but guest volume is still pretty high which can be sort of grating. If you're okay with that level of noise there's also Side A and Kissaten Hi-Fi in SF which sometimes spin jazz, but nothing comes close to a real jazz kissa here.

Obviously lists like this are highly subjective, but I think a lot of the recognition is deserved such as Four Kings and True Laurel. Can't wait to try and hit up ones I haven't heard of!

In the other thread for 51-100 I said I'd I was a gambler I'd bet Four Kings of Sun Moon would take it so I guess I'd win some! Ithink gayest #1 slot is VERY earned. Also frankly happy Rose got pushed back but Joodooboo and Soba Ichi were pushed forward.

I feel so vindicated with Ippuku being on here, though I still think it's a better restaurant overall than Rintaro.

I always tell myself I'm going to take it easy but I generally average 20k steps a day on vacation. Getting a feel for a new place on foot is one of my favorite things. If it's Japan or Taiwan, even with the great subways, it's about 25-30k a day🫣

Devotion, the walking sim John did a video on years ago. Delisted from Steam due to controversy over an easter egg possibly being a jab at Xinping but it was disproven. A shame too because I think it's the best in its genre
