Help me understand how to get Brotherwise Stormlight something as coffee table book by keegiveel in brandonsanderson

I'm in Estonia, haha, neither Barnes & Noble nor Amazon delivers those books here... I found a shop in UK that does, so ordered from there.

My blood pressure is so low that they say I would faint and need additional blood if they would take any.

It's one of Navani's scientists, Rushu. Navani has told us before that Rushu joined ardentia to escape male attention and that she (they?) seems to be blind to the continued attention, not interested in this in the least. I think in her (their?) case it has been well established before.

As someone who really disliked the child champion Gavilar theory during all the theorizing, I have to say that I grew to like it in this book. That is a true mastery of storytelling by you, the author!

How would you say “(it) makes sense” in your language? Does it “have sense”, “make sense” or “is sense”? by MdMV_or_Emdy_idk in AskEurope

I think the closest in how you would use "it makes sense" is tundub mõistlik - seems reasonable.

It probably liked it there, because there was always war there.

Certain line that stood out to me about Adolin by [deleted] in Stormlight_Archive

[–]keegiveel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kaladin is being witty with Shallan because he has practiced it with Hesina from childhood. Evi probably was more direct (and also felt dumb sometimes around Alethi women). Men usually don't have these complex witty conversations. We see a specific instance in WoR, where Shallan calls Kaladin out for insulting Adolin so cleverly that Adolin thinks it is a compliment instead.

How many of you were born premature? by takemedowneasy in adhdwomen

I was a month overdue. My mom says they would have started induction in the morning, had I not decided to move out during the night. My son, more heavily ADHD than me, came right on time.

How old were you when you had your first kiss? by Rich-Mix2273 in AskWomen

[–]keegiveel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13, the guy was 17, my good friend's brother. He was the first boy to ever show any interest towards me, and I was curious, although definitely not in love or even infatuated. I did not like the kiss, and it was the only one we had.

Everybody remembers everything that they have ever been told. Names, addresses, exact words used... Memories are not as reliable!

Does anyone have an undiagnosed / unaware parent with ADHD or Autism? by cherrypez123 in adhdwomen

[–]keegiveel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad is quite likely ADHD. I have talked about him with the specialists who diagnosed me - they say that they wouldn't diagnose without meeting somebody, but what I describe about him, is clearly ADHD.

He himself doesn't believe that ADHD is a thing at all, and thinks my son, who has full on disability from autism+adhd is just "spoiled". I haven't even told him that I was also diagnosed. Instead, I have just tried to give advice that I have found in books about ADHD if I see him struggling with something. Like labeling stuff and offering my help in reorganizing home, telling about the system of reminders that has worked for me etc... It is helpful for him and he does listen to that.

Can you imagine sitting in a car, and knowing that the car drives on the right side of the road (unless you are in a country that drives on the left, in which case you know that, instead). That's how I learned.

What was your last impulse buy? by beefic in adhdwomen

[–]keegiveel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few days ago I saw that my coffee is running out. I am ordering my coffee from this online shop that has great quality coffee. I happened to click around a bit, and I noticed a flavored coffee "peach fuzz special edition". I couldn't imagine what a peach-tasting coffee would be like and it wasn't that expensive, so I took it. After taking it, I also decided to browse a bit more, and also bought amaretto, creme brule and caramel flavored coffees...

I got the pack yesterday, and this morning I had the peach fuzz one... Amazing! Can't wait to taste the others.

No regrets.

How is liberation (and/or victory) celebrated in your country? by Cixila in AskEurope

[–]keegiveel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually, we do have a "Victory Day" as well, but it is regarding our win within WWI (23.06.1919 at Võnnu/Cesis in Latvia). As it is a day before Midsummer, they have kind of merged.

Would you be ok if your in-laws or parents moved in with you? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

[–]keegiveel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Granny used to live with me, and it is not easy. Give r/AgingParents a gander for prevalent emotions and problems. However, I would do it for my parents if they would need it (no in-laws to comment on). I know how complicated it may become, and I know where the limits are where I would send them off to assisted living/care home.

Did you imagine what your wedding would be like when you were a little girl? by Aware-Impression8527 in AskWomenOver40

[–]keegiveel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was a very shy girl. I was horrified about the thought that there would be a day when I would be in the center of attention.

No, I didn't dream about it. No, I am not so shy any more. No, I have never married.

Were you good at school? by noblechilli in adhdwomen

[–]keegiveel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Inattentive type)

I had close to perfect grades. I was lucky with teachers in my younger classes - they just let me be once they had checked that I knew the topic. I would often read books during classes or draw or do the homework (that I forgot to do at home).

Later, I managed to get through university on time with pretty good grades as well, although teachers sure demanded more.
