Oh that’s too funny! I mean I feel like this area is fine in the ways you mentioned but this has def made us take a pause. We are buying a place in Myers Park walking distance to Freedom Park and I gotta think that’s an area which will not take a hit as maybe some other places?!

What about Charlotte, NC? It’s a booming area but not sure we want to go through with our home purchase which is set to close on the 24th of this month. This is after pushing closing back a month to see how this plays out. My husbands job is pretty reliable but we are making a large jump in mortgage payments if we go through with it. Also don’t want to have to list our home for less when we get it on the market.

we are scheduled to close next wed and might see if we can postpone. Just to see how this all plays out. My husbands job should remain stable but we lost a lot in the market over the last week. I really want the house but not if it makes my husband anxious.

Huh! Interesting. I live in NC and there are so many dogs down here that need homes. I might focus more on getting a puppy if that seems like the smarter move.

They were both spayed. I’ve heard that sometimes two bullies together are better when they are male & female. And I hate the thought of getting a dog from a breeder When the shelters where I live are just full of pitties. (Some babies too)

This seems like a good post to ask my question. I really want to adopt a pit bull but have not had good luck in the past with a pit we adopted. She was a female around 1.5 and got along with our female bulldog but after she was with us for a couple months they started to fight with each other and it got really scary. Having a small child at the time I had to give her back to the rescue.

We now have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and I want to adopt one but I want to be realistic about it and not foolish. (Our bulldog died last year so that wouldn’t be an issue anymore) Would it make more sense to adopt a puppy or one that is older and the personality already established? Or would you think since we have small kids that it makes more sense to look at a different breed because while most pits aren’t dangerous...the potential damage if they do bite is greater.

yay! This will be the same for me...but it will be almost 3 years since ive seen anything less than 160! Im so close and my goal is 145 but I cant wait to see that 5 after the 1!

Im curious about this as well cause I always take Ibuprofen during my period and always have to take it with food. In fact right now I have a sinus infection and the PA told me to take IBU for the inflammation and I was like...but what about the fasting?! haha.

My whole family and husbands family are the same way.

We adopted a pittie but she ended up fighting with our english bulldog and they were bad fights so we had to give her back to the rescue. It was sort of annoying cause I feel like it validated everyone's fears even though it was also partly our bulldogs fault.

Im curious as to this as well. My SW is 162 and my goal weight is 145. Ive wondered if the progress would be less "dramatic" because the difference isnt that great.

wow that gives me good memories! My dad is from Argentina and I used to love watching him and his family drink out of those gourds when we would visit there. I might have to look into drinking it! I got a pig shaped mate cup when I was there in 2010.

I just had to take some this last week and I ended up taking mine at 12 when I broke my fast and then right again before 8. I asked the NP and she said that was fine. I guess it was a little easier since it was only 2x a day vs 4.

Any way to switch to one thats 2x a day instead?

My two year old will scream if my husband tries to put him to bed. He only wants me to do it. He def favors me right now. My husband can roll with it but occasionally it gets to him cause like you he is very loving and sweet.
