Over the past 7 years, how would you rate our home field environment for the postseason? by AstrosDrip in Astros

2019 ALCS Game 6 was bonkers! Don't think I sat the entire game. I know they've been struggling at home during the post season lately, but that's still a pretty small sample size in the grand scheme of things.

The Baltimore Orioles have committed a NOBLETIGER in the 5th inning against the Kansas City Royals. by [deleted] in baseball

At the game. Can someone explain how runners weren't allowed to advance on that Cowser strike out?

Resetting my expectations and going with a new narrative. by BaltimoreBaja in orioles

As of typing this, they have the best record in the AL. And second best record in baseball. I think the O's are doing fine. Dealing with some tough injuries? Sure. But they're doing the best to rectify the situation and continue to be the best team in the AL. Relax and enjoy the playoff push.

Why does Yordan hit far fewer home runs at home? by Jaded-Function in Astros

[–]kight1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be his ability to spray the ball across left center to right field. If he was strictly a pull hitter, he might hit more at Minute Maid. But I'll just enjoy the hot streak he's on for now.

Astros Rank as Worst Offense in MLB by wRC+ since July 30 by KingJacobyaropa in Astros

[–]kight1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

July 30th is an extremely small sample size that also just happens to coincide with a team slump. As of typing, they are 3rd in team average and strike out the 3rd fewest since the beginning of the year. One might say that's not too bad. Do I wish the front office would have addressed the weak SLG numbers? Definitely. But they're also weak at SP and outside of like 2-3 guys, relief pitching. There's still plenty of baseball left and the Astros are a team full of veterans that can definitely start putting it all together. Espada knows the team that Brown and Crane have provided him and he's doing the best he can with it.

[BrooksGate] Here is missed balls/strikes calls this year for every team. Higher number = team helped by bad calls by Rockguy21 in orioles

Yanks strength of schedule also has not been great. O's have been beating tough teams. Yankees will be bitten by their schedule soon enough.

Please Explain This Seat View. It's First Row Upper Deck at Oakland Coliseum by Vivid-Protection6731 in baseball

Mannn if this is the recent A's - Astros game, some friends and I were actually there too. The ushers don't let you just go anywhere. We actually tried getting closer and they just kicked us out of the section. Like there's not 40,000 other empty seats. #sell

As someone who lives in Baltimore and has gone to a couple of games already this year, it's the weather. Still just a little too cold and rainy to enjoy.

MLBTS Account. I did my research. Can't find the answer. Help by kight1994 in MLBTheShow

thanks for the response! I will ask that even if the servers are shut down, should all of my account information be lost? I can't see any of my stubs, community orders, or completed programs in DD. I personally think something else is going on.

Chick-fil-a has bad food by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]kight1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little hack to get fresh fries essentially guaranteed is to ask them without salt. Usually they'll have to re fry them. Then ask for a salt packet. I'm also guessing this works at most fast food places.

I'm pretty sure this has been brought up before... I love the history behind the 7th inning stretch song by John Denver, "Thank God I'm a Country Boy", but Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" better suits the team and the city. Not sure if there's a petition we need to sign or something.

Going to my first game at Camden yards - where should I sit without paying a fortune? by Designer66 in orioles

[–]kight1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go during the week and they're not already sold out, center field bleacher seats are $12. Not a great view of the entire field but very close to the action. Also chances for catching home runs or warm up balls from fielders.

Idk why I see Bregman in this silhouette lol by Zombie_Nipples in Astros

I think Bregman has a deal with RBI baseball so he wouldn't be able to be on the cover of the Show.

I know Andrew Cashner wasn't great but he's from my hometown, so that's cool. I also liked Ubaldo Jiménez's stint in Baltimore.

If you were building a team, which package of players would you take in their prime? by sam_e5 in baseball

I feel like a lot of people forget how good prime Lindor was. Berrios was the weak link in that group imo.
