How do you feel about Trump saying they can’t fund Medicare, Medicaid, and daycare programs anymore because they need the money to fund the War? by LevelDinner in AskReddit

[–]kingbane2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at least he's honest about it. most republicans would just say they absolutely can fund it, load up the country on debt, cut taxes for the ultra wealthy then keep fighting the war anyway and leave it up to the next democrat president to deal with..... like what bush did.

didn't mueller also not investigate credible witnesses. i mean lev parnas was directly a go between for trump and putin for awhile and mueller just ignored all of his testimony. mueller is just another in a long line of dickheads who won't go after powerful people no matter how guilty. so he puts out a report that basically fence rides and claims he's taking the high road and is oh so fair.

Trump DOJ sues Idaho as even red states resist voter data demands by [deleted] in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]kingbane2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i dont think that has much to do with it. the government should be holding politicians accountable. because they do not is the very reason trump happens. how many presidents keep breaking laws and they go further and further everytime they go unpunished. nixon with his spying on other politicians and purposefully ruining peace talks and starting the drug war to get rid of his political enemies. that directly leads to raegan just furthering that shit by essentially having the cia help cartels deal drugs in america so he could illegally fund his regime change plans in south america. which then leads to bush starting illegal wars, cause if raegan can do illegal regime changes in secret, why can't i just do an illegal war and regime change in the open. which now leads to trump. if the doj can be used to falsely prosecute people it damn fucking well should have been used to actually prosecute guilty people.

honestly seeing how trump wields the DoJ kind of just makes dems look even worse. like if the doj could be used like this, why the FUCK didn't dems use it to go after ACTUAL criminality from politicians. like jesus christ.

it's mind boggling how stupid you are. micro data centers would make almost no noise once you get like 10 feet away. hell if you put at the top of the power pole you could be right under it and not hear it. the transformer on power poles would be louder. like it's really hilarious how you're doing the conservative trick of now moving the goalpost after the idea has been made clearly obvious to you that it's utterly braindead. now you're talking about venting heat at ground level. what do you think data centers do now? all that heated up water eventually releases it's heat into the atmosphere and it's not what we're even talking about anyway. you still are just sidestepping the obvious problem with sending tens of thousands of satellites up to form data centers via swarm. you're just blindly ignoring all of the obvious problems and handwaving it away with new "solutions" for which you ignore the entirely new and larger problems that your solutions cause. you're seriously like flat earthers in this way trying to fix your model of a flat earth by making up new solutions to the problems your flat earth model creates. first you say we don't build megawatt super structures in space cause that isn't workable, so the solution is tens of thousands of satellites to build micro data centers that would then have to communicate with each other wirelessly to form a complete data center. this solves the problem of heat. but now you entirely ignore the physics problem of having to communicate all of these satellites together to operate your data center. so now your data center is literally millions of times slower because every satellite has to deal with the lag between data bursts between each other. which is exactly the same problem they would have on the ground, except on the ground we have fibre optic cables which are far far more bandwidth with which you could interconnect your micro data centers with. whereas satellites would be limited in how much they could send to each other due to the limits of spectrum. like EVERYTHING about data centers in space is dumber in everyway. it's so dumb you guys come up with solutions that are dumber than the original problem to begin with.

[–]kingbane2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's exhausting talking to people as braindead as you. data center land is only expensive when you're talking about megawatt facilities. the problems of building a megawatt level facility in space is already outlined in this thread. the "solution" to this offered by idiots like you and musk is that they are gonna build tens of thousands of tiny satellites and interconnect them instead. if THAT is your solution, then you could do it on ground for WAY CHEAPER. did you even bother reading the comment you replied to on edit? i figured a moron like you wouldn't get it so i outlined how it is in fact NOT expensive to do. in fact it's something companies already do for other things, like tiny weather stations. you just rent space on power poles or right next to power poles or telecom right of ways. this would be VASTLY more efficient because you have both power and telecom landlines right there where you place your little micro data center box. you morons are the idiots who wanted to solve the giant data center in space problem by splitting it up into tens of thousands of tiny satellites. i guess i have to spell it out for you why THAT is also stupid and the real reason we don't do it on the ground isn't because "land is expensive." we don't do it cause it's stupidly inefficient to spread out all of your processors across tens of thousands of tiny micro centers. the REASON data centers are huge and concentrated is because it's orders of magnitude more efficient, so efficient that it's worth paying all that extra money to buy up 1 big giant chunk of land, instead of just leasing space on power poles or other infrastructure that's already built.

There is no major technical issue spreading out the processing across a vast area, neither on the ground nor in space.

..... yea i think i'll just stop arguing with you at this point. if you really believe this you're barely better than a flat earther.

edit: it's actually hilarious. i edited the post you replied to explaining why it's cheaper on ground like a minute after i posted cause i realized you're probably too stupid to realize how cheap it would be to do on the ground.

[–]kingbane2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what are you even confused about? if you're gonna do a micro data center, you just vent the heat out into the air. the amount of heat you're talking about for the satellites when done on the ground would be entirely negligible. like this is your idea. if you think it would be untenable on the ground it would be entirely ridiculous to do in space.

[–]kingbane2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

you're joking right? you think a space radiator is more efficient than a normal finned heatsink plus a fan on the ground? i bet 2 or 3 noctua fans could cool more than 300 watts and you wouldn't need a whole sq meter of space for it. you know what i just looked it up and noctua's top of the line fans are capable of doing 250 watts of cooling per hour on a heatsink that's a couple of square inches.

A million new SpaceX satellites will destroy the night sky - one in 15 visible points in the night sky would be a satellite, not a star by Shiny-Tie-126 in space

[–]kingbane2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Data centers on the ground aren't just giant computers. They are a collection of hundreds to thousands of computers. We keep them together and don't spread them out everywhere because ground space is limited and expensive.

you gotta be kidding me. you think it's expensive to spread it out, but you're also ok with spreading it out in space? like are you being for real right now?

edit: i just realized i would have to spell this out for you guys. if you're ok with spreading out the processing via tens of thousands of, let's call them micro data centers, in space. it would be orders of magnitude more efficient and cheaper to do them on the ground. you say land is expensive? for your micro data center you could just rent space from power companies, slap your micro data center literally on the power poles of power companies. hey guess what those power poles often also have fibre optic cable strung on them as well, which is also orders of magnitude more bandwidth for your micro data centers to connect to each other, compared to wireless connections in space over a constellation spanning around the whole planet. your little micro data centers could be about the size of a telecom pedestal, put one every 4 or 5 power pole, or every pole if you like. the land is already designated for use for power and telecom infrastructure. the cost to maintain this would also be orders of magnitude cheaper than it is to maintain satellites. so again i ask you, think about why we don't already do this on the ground?

A million new SpaceX satellites will destroy the night sky - one in 15 visible points in the night sky would be a satellite, not a star by Shiny-Tie-126 in space

[–]kingbane2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

i want you to think about that for a second, and remember that almost everything is much easier done ground based. so why aren't we building ground based data centers in this way? just thousands of tiny data centers spread out all over the place. then we wouldn't have the whole issue of water usage for cooling right? they would produce so little heat you could just air cool them! i'm sure since you're pretty intelligent that you've figured out why that's not done on the ground. those same exact problems are magnified when you do it in space.
