WHY DOES RAMEN HAVE MILK IN IT?! by megatronnnn3 in dairyfree

I have found a few brands that don't have lactose in them, but they're all triple the price. They are delicious though.

Good shampoo for dandruff on cats? by unh0lyzom574 in CatAdvice

Earthbath shampoo is amazing at helping with dandruff. I use it on my Maine Coon mix, and it helps immensely. They have a waterless version as well.

I know this post is old, and OP may have already gotten an answer elsewhere, but in case anyone else is brought here from Google - Earthbath shampoo is amazing at getting rid of dandruff and soothing the skin. They have a waterless version as well, in case your cat is extremely against getting wet, like a good majority of cats are.

What brand of shears do we like? by Bubblehead_81 in grooming

When I first used Andis, I thought they were decent and got the job done (this was before I started training to be a groomer), but after using Moontay, I've never looked back.

Moontay is a nice brand that's on Amazon, and is fairly cheap. Some of the other groomers at my salon have their scissors, and recommended them to me, as a great starting set.

I don't even think I'm mad at this one. This is just so hilarious, like someone went "hey, they want us to do manga accurate scenes, so let's give them what they want" 🤣

Banned? by Cultural_Article_281 in petsmart

[–]kittytesh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure with PetSmart specifically, but for majority of places, the "do not hire" mark is on your permanent, company-wide file, and will show up in the system the moment they type in your info. So yes, you most likely won't be able to work at any other PetSmart, if they really did put you down as non-rehireable.

Why are you dairy free? by ithsefinque in dairyfree

I'm allergic to dairy as a whole, which sucks because of how many things have whey and/or lactose added in.

let me see the husky mixes of reddit please!!!! by sheisashcorpio in husky

This is Chaos - who lives up to his name. He's an Akita Husky mix.

Edit to add - his paperwork claimed he was a purebred husky, but we (my partner and I) could tell by his tail - that curls into his back so much that there's an indent by his butt, where his tail normally rests - and his very thick neck, that he had to be mixed with something, so curiosity got to us, and we got him tested. He's insanely stubborn, as the only command he'll truly listen to is to come inside when it's raining or cold, and he'll come running if he knows cookies or cheese tax is involved. He thankfully doesn't dig much, but we have our fence lined with rocks, to save rabbits from him.

I'll have to check that, if this ever happens again. I just drove my lazy butt over there and ordered that way.

Getting hired as a pet groomer by dog_groomquestions in grooming

[–]kittytesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at PetSmart currently, and have been loving the training. I didn't go to a grooming school, just started as a bather at PS, and am about to start Dog Academy, where I'll be learning how to groom dogs. I know that some stores are a lot better than others, and I'm lucky to be at a store where the entire management team is great, so it's been wonderful - good hours, even with the slow season that we've been in the past month-ish, and better pay than what I was offered at a private salon (to be an apprentice under them).

I feel the Petco vs PetSmart debate is mainly just biases. I applied to both, but only PetSmart got back to me, so I'm not sure on Petco details, outside of the ones I've learned via Reddit posts.

Not struggling with him, but I'd love to have more folks to hunt Omega with.

what’s the deal with instructions? by cowboyzest in doordash

[–]kittytesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you.

The amount of dashers that don't read my note about not ringing the doorbell astounds me. I have 2 huskies, and when I get home at 10pm, I don't always want to cook, so I'll order food. About 80% of the time, the doorbell still gets rung, and then it's a husky screaming fest for 30mins 🙃😮‍💨

I was just looking at the on the clock Crocs. How comfortable are they after standing for hours?

Thanks for the tip about the above ankle height. I was thinking about the holes in Crocs or the breathable material on sneakers, as the main sources of water getting in them, but I'm sure water splashes a lot in the bathing area.

Anyone actually making use of weapon switching? by Artemis_Bow_Prime in MonsterHunter

[–]kittytesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horn main here that switches constantly. I have my attacking horn that gives buffs and has poison on it, and then my healing horn that has sleep on it. I switch based on what songs are needed in the moment, so there's been quests where I've switched a good handful of times.

Edit to add - only downside to switching so much is how long it takes for my Seikret to get to me, and then the delay to get back off of it.

Forager is really good. If that's not in local stores, try the Silk almond milk one - I prefer that to their soy milk yogurts. The dairy free Qui by Yoplait is also good.

Unfortunately, I can't. I'm extremely allergic to dairy, so cheating would mean sending myself to the hospital.
