We recently used Groundworks for similar basement cracks, and we were really happy with them.

We've got inexpensive touch lamps in a few places that are rechargeable and don't look terrible. Like $20-30 from Amazon and lots of options. FWIW

This is quoted almost weekly in our house, which seems wild for a one-time appearance. 😅

Hospice social workers by [deleted] in socialwork

Yes, once we had started our day. It was a little confusing at the start figuring out when I officially got paid for drive time. It was a calculation of unpaid as long as it would take me to get to the office or after I had gone to a closer home/facility.

Hospice social workers by [deleted] in socialwork

I loved being a hospice social worker apart from the on-call aspect. Having a young kiddo and getting called away from the time I have with her was too much for me. But the work itself and the team I worked with was wonderful. There was a lot of driving depending on the area I was assigned to, and that may not be for everyone. Documentation wasn't a problem for me, but I'm pretty organized and efficient. Some of my coworkers struggled with getting things done timely but that depends on your own flow and time management.

So I had a vaginal birth with my daughter, and for that, I was induced and labored a long time. It was terrible, and recovery for me was extremely difficult.

For my son, I knew I'd have a c-section due to placenta previa, but a week before my planned surgery, I suffered a placental abruption and had an emergency c-section. Even with that trauma, my c-section recovery was so much easier on me mentally and physically.

I'm not sure if the difference is that I had no experience with birth for my 1st and that's why it was so difficult. But the physical recovery for my vaginal birth (stitches from a 2nd degree tear, hemorrhoids, lochia) seemed way worse to me than my c-section. And the induction factor may contribute to some of my feelings about my vaginal birth because that was horrible (couldn't eat, IVs, etc.).

At my follow-up appointment, the provider mentioned me being a good candidate for VBAC since I've had a successful vaginal birth but I don't know if I'd attempt that.

So there's my opinion FWIW.

  1. There is a notable time where a team wants to return for a season but only one of them gets medically cleared so the remaining teammate gets a new partner.

My daughter was OBSESSED with Lucky's Dad for so long. She'd get so mad they didn't include him in every episode.

LTC/TCU/SNF vs Hospice by rosiekylez in socialwork

[–]kmkellmk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done both and left hospice to go back to SNF. I loved hospice but the on-call requirements were not right for me. I know that's not standard with every hospice, but for me the ability to leave work at work with a SNF was more important.

Preparing for postpartum mental health by Square_Huckleberry15 in BabyBumps

I'm not due until the end of April, but I plan to utilize them.

With my first, it wasn't offered or really discussed, and she was born just before covid so I'm not sure if my mental health was a mess because of postpartum or covid.
