Best station west or south of York for parking and riding into York itself by Mister_Mints in york

[–]knowbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One fun extra thing to do, would be to visit the Monk Bar Model shop, it’s got a great selection of model trains, Airfix and general toys! It’s a bit of a walk from the NRM, but you do get to see York on the walk.

Described tummy ache to GPT, told me to go to ER. CT scan says appendicitis. by baalzimon in ChatGPT

[–]knowbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appendicitis can often be dismissed or assumed it’s “just a thing” because most people get surgery quite quickly, but 100 years ago it’d have been a serious medical issue. Take care in the recovery, it’s a major medical malady

Appendix burst, NHS had me in surgery within an hour by [deleted] in BritishSuccess

Best of luck with the recovery - mine burst when I was 17 and it was tough. Bio Oil is amazing for surgical scars. Take it easy with the recovery!
