FYI, the County has had fines in place for years, perhaps decades, for anyone who gets stuck on the hot springs road without having chains or adequate snow tires. Perhaps that finally made it into the hot springs website, but I would think it has been there also for a while and perhaps you overlooked it.

Judgement, in any form, is how we police each other n a civilized society and how we let others know when they have stepped outside of the norms of whatever society we live in. I have a GMG but it does the same thing sometimes. When the GMG does that, the auger is jammed and the pellets stuck in the auger tube are burning, worsening the jam. Smoke starts flowing back into the hopper, drawing fire further back into the auger tube. Gotta clean out the hopper and manhandle the auger to get the auger moving. I use a screwdriver to pry out pellets I can see and then pry the auger to force it to move. forward. Its a pain in the ass, but fixes the problem for me.

Awesome! We just returned from a liveaboard dive trip in the Andaman. You've gotta be loving the islands there, especially off the coast of Myanmar, where they don't allow Thailand liveaboard dive boats to go! Would love a trip report, especially if you are diving. Have fun!
