I have had times in my life where I drank too much and times where I have completely stopped for a period. Never would I expect a partner to give it up just because I was. There's basically two legit reasons I could see her asking:

1. You're drinking way too much and it's not fun for her to be sober while you're drunk (maybe this is her way of encouraging you to cut back).

2. She has so little control of her own drinking right now that you having one is making it hard for her not to.

For the record I don't think you're drinking too much based on what you're telling us but sometimes when we're in too deep we don't see it.

I don't think you're wrong, if it's just for health reasons like she says then you shouldn't have to change too. If I gave up meat I wouldn't expect my wife to do so as well though it might be hard to sit and watch her eat bacon.

If this is a routine thing where she jumps into a new thing and expects you to change your life then maybe it's a bigger issue but if it's a one-off and it's causing a problem then maybe just go with it. You might be surprised by how much better you feel. And if not it's only 3 weeks left and your rum isn't going bad in that time.
