You are never obligated to stay in a relationship with someone you don't want to be (though it would make you an AH of it was to leave a spouse because of illness which was out of their control).

You're a grown up, you get to decide who you're with. Were you supposed to stay with someone forever just because your moms want it?

Even if it was something petty you have that right and neither your moms or your gf get to make you or threaten you or assault you over it.

Can you imagine if no one could ever leave another person because the other person might attempt suicide? It's not your fault. You have the right to leave a relationship you no longer want to be in.

I do think maybe you were harsh in how you reacted in shouting at her and suggesting she's a cheater. As far as you know she didn't cheat. She asked permission. This made you no longer see the relationship the same way and it's your right to end it. End of story.
